^^ Thanks guys ! It weighs about 90 pounds and it's all steel. And I'm not making any more lol. It took way too long to make. :Insane: Thanks again for the comments. :Caffeine:

Just thought I'd post pics of my finished roof rack

It does. :D Probably another 100lbs. I tried removing my factory rack but some of the threaded inserts came undone so I said F it. :) If I made it so that it would be bolted where the factory rack is, it'd hold a good 500lbs easy. ;)

Just thought I'd post pics of my finished roof rack

Thanks ! Here it is, I simply made some "feet" that are bolted thru the bars. It's not exactly the way I wanted to do it at first, but it should be ok for now. So there's two bolts on each corner plus one bolt in the center of each bar. (10 bolts altogether) Hope this helps ! sorry...

Just thought I'd post pics of my finished roof rack

Haha ! Well, I wanna enjoy it for a while first. ;) But I think it cost me around 160-180$ for materials. I started in February though and finished two days ago. Very time consuming, just to make sure it's square and flat.

    Remove luggage rack

Thanks for your kind words. :) So I started taking my factory rack off yesterday...and well bad news for me, one bolt didn't come off because of rust. I think the threaded insert inside the vehicle came undone (spot-welded maybe?) and now it's spinning without going anywhere. So if you...

    Remove luggage rack

Quick question, I want to remove mine as well (1999) and was wondering; - do you need to access the inside to remove it ? - Or are the nuts inside spot-welded to the roof and just need to remove bolts on the outside ? Thank you !

    leveled yukon fit 33s?

Sorry to bring this thread back...but would a 4in. backspacing (285/75R16 with 16x8"s) be ok with stock height or maybe a TB crank ?

    trailer hitch

Sorry for the late reply... :) Did you figure out which bolts to use ? If not, when you removed it, did you keep one of the old fasteners ? You know...just to use as reference. :D

    Thinking about changing tire size...

Thanks ! Yeah I might just forget the 285s and go with more aggressive 265s. I'll adjust my speed accordingly too, also my odometer says 270,000miles...so it's not like keeping an accurate mileage is important anymore. :hahano:
