    Knock Sensors- Engine stumble

Well, it seems I may have fixed the stumble issue. Checked the #1 plug, looked good. Went to replace the leaking temp sensor and found it was loose, WTF. I was able to remove it without tools. Installed the new one, and cleared the knock sensor codes. The vehicle ran great with no stumble at...

    Knock Sensors- Engine stumble

The plugs and wires were replaced when I replaced the engine, so about 10k (AC Delco plugs, MSD wires). Fuel filter was replaced last month (Wix). I will be checking wire continuity as well. It won’t hurt to pull the #1 plug either. Thank you for the reply.

    Knock Sensors- Engine stumble

Greetings, I have a 2004 Tahoe (flex fuel), 185k on the clock and have a couple of issues. Engine was replaced a few years ago and has about 10k on it. I have had this vehicle for more than 12 years and taken really good care of it. #1 Knock sensors- So like a lot of people I too battle...

    Steering Clunk Issue. HELP

I recently replaced mine. Picked one up on eBay for $50 with shipping. Took about an hour to install. Fairly easy.

    Brakes!!!!!!

I HAVE discovered the problem. I had an epiphany while at work. I recall either reading somewhere or watching a YouTube video in which the parking brake was "adjusted." After thinking on this for a bit, I realized that since my parking brake is not currently connected, I never adjusted it...

    Brakes!!!!!!

I may have figured out the problem. I noticed that when I am bleeding the brakes, the piston on the passenger side rear comes out and then completely retracts (1/4) once the pedal is released. The driver side rear retracts a small amount (1/16 at most). I'm going to replace the caliper and...

    Brakes!!!!!!

I did pull the right one (prop valve) after all. After looking at the one on the other end, it is completely different inside. I attempted another bleed today and discovered the rear calipers are barley moving. When the vehicle in placed in gear and the pedal depressed (to the floor), the...

    Brakes!!!!!!

Bled the lines going into the ABS unit for craps and giggles to no avail. What if anything else could it be? Will a hydroboost unit not fix the problem. Sunlit: On a side note, after reviewing the instruction sheet you sent (a great many thanks for that) I noticed the spring (in the prop...

    Brakes!!!!!!

Removal of the spring, washer and complete bleed did not work. Problem persists.

    Brakes!!!!!!

Hmmmmm...very interesting that is. I'll remove that tomorrow and then bleed the system AGAIN (lol). I have to look a little closer at the prop valve on the ABS to see if it has the screw as in the photos. I believe it does. Again thanks for the input.

    Brakes!!!!!!

I will try to answer all questions. This is the kit I bought: http://www.ebay.com/itm/GM-Rear-Disc-Brake-Conversion-2WD-C1500-Ebrake-Tahoe-/180364798542?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item29fe946a4e&vxp=mtr Before doing this swap, months earlier I replaced the old master cylinder...

    Brakes!!!!!!

There was no prop valve in the kit. If I'm not mistaken, the factory prop valve is inside the ABS unit itself. I'll check again. I'm looking hard at a Hydro boost set up as a last resort.

    Brakes!!!!!!

Yes, I did. I had to shorten both lines which was done with little problem. The issue just came up. I have been driving this for several weeks since the swap. The prop valve is within the ABS unit if I'm not mistaken. I have looked for an external one with no success. I am not driving it...

    Brakes!!!!!!

I am at my whits end with this tahoe. I have a 1999 OBS two wheel drive. I recently swapped the rear brakes to disc hoping the braking would improve. It did not. It was marginal at best. Several weeks after the swap, I was driving down the highway, tapped the brakes and the pedal went to...

    2" drop front and rear

Well I cut about one inch off the bump stops and that seems to have helped. I hit the same stretch of road that was causing the problem and the ride was better. I'll monitor it, but will most likely change the shocks as well.

    2" drop front and rear

I'll give that a try. Thanks for the input.

    2" drop front and rear

I recently did a 2" drop all the way around my 99 4dr. I used Crown 2" spindles up front a some 2" shackles in back that i got from Pepboys. After the install, the hoe looks great but rides like shat. The rear feels as though it bottoms out on any decent sized bump/dip in the road. I checked...

    Brake problems

I too had a similar problem with spongy brakes. After replacing everything, and I mean everything, I did a little research and discovered it was probably the master cylinder (I replaced this twice). I purchased a "Firm Feel" master cylinder from Stainless Steel Brake Corp. ($200) and solved...

    Fuel Gauge

I'm thinking the same thing. Its not so much a "new" gauge as such. Th company injected a silicone in it to stop the butterfly effect...which did work. The gauge worked a short time after I got it back but has since stopped.

    Fuel Gauge

The quick and dirty. Fuel gauge had the hummingbird effect. Sent it to company to have that fixed. $120 later, problem fixed, but gauge barely moves now. Just replaced the pump/sending unit with new Delco part and the problem remains. Gauge stays just below half tank. Checked the ground...

    6x9 install in the back

I used a jig saw on one and found my angle grinder worked better for the second one. I used some Sony Xplod 6x9 which fit in the factory location and was able to re-use the factory speaker covers as well.

    6x9 install in the back

No it does not. I just did this conversion last weekend. Remove the horizontal trim panel just behind the speaker grilles. Remove the speaker grilles. Remove the speakers. Once the trim panel is down, pull down slightly on the headliner to expose the two bolts that hold the metal panel in...

    Brakes

Ok...so I received my "Firm Feel" master cylinder today. Bled it, installed it, and then bled the system. HOLY GUACAMOLE BATMAN!!!! What a difference, like night and day. The pedal no longer goes to the floor, the brakes feel more firm, it stops like my 07 3/4 ton Silverado, it's just all...

    Brakes

The part number is A0463 and can be found on the SSBC website. It's a little pricey there. I found the same part on PacePerformance.com for $180.00+tax. It is being shipped from SSBC. Hope this helps.
