Hey guys. My 07 Yukon XL SLT is having some major engine trouble and has me looking to trade in. 167k miles and using 3 quarts of oil in 1k miles. Has rough idle at times. Using a little coolant too. I tow a 18' Sea Ray in the summer around the mountains in Montana and at least once a summer...- Bobielon

What oil to use in "oil thirsty" 07 Yukon
Nope, no visible leaks. Also no smoke or burning oil smell. This seems common for this year. Lots of complaints about oil consumption for the 07. My 03 Yukon with 165k on it didn't use a drop of oil. Hey guys, ready to do my first oil change on my 07 XL. 150k miles. I added 1.75 quarts over the last 4500 miles to keep the oil level full. In the past i have always used mobil one full synthetic, but in these oil thirsty 07's would synthetic be a bad idea? Would it use less oil if i used...- Bobielon

New owner. With a few Questions..
Thanks for the responses. This is my plan so far. Plan to install the Kenwood DDX-470 head unit. Looks to do everything I am looking for. XM, Onstar, steering wheel controls, iPhone, backup camera etc.. It does not have nav, but on the rare occasion I'd need it I could use my iPhone...- Bobielon

New owner. With a few Questions..
Yep Flip down screen in back. There is only one slot behind the screen. I believe only the nav disc goes in there. From what i have seen the dvd or cd goes into the exposed slot above the screen only. That is where i get the disc read error...- Bobielon
