    Wheel "hop"?

I'm not sure if the traction control kicked in or not. Just a horrible "bang, bang, bang" sound/feeling that made me immediately back off the throttle.

    Wheel "hop"?

My Yukon is still running the O.E. Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT. By most ratings a so-so tire at best. Shock absorbers? Like the rest of the vehicle, practically new. I just bought it new this past July.

    Wheel "hop"?

2025 Yukon AT4 Ultimate 3.0 Dmax. I was driving home a few days ago after some rain. There weren't any standing water puddles, but the road was wet. Sitting at a red light I wasn't paying attention & hadn't noticed the light had turned green & the cars were well ahead of me. Trying to avoid...

    Early oil change opinions

It must be an E.U. thing. I used to own a BMW X5 and they said all oil changes (including the first) were every 10,000 miles, and no early first change was needed. They also didn't come with an oil dipstick. No trans dipstick was bad enough, but that was hard to get used to.

    Early oil change opinions

I try to stick with Wix, Donaldson, or Baldwin for diesel applications. CAT doesn't make a PF66 option. Prices are a bit more, (Donaldson & Baldwin) compared to the Delco gold, but worth it I think. Oil filters are something you have to constantly check. Wix & NAPA Gold used to be the same, NOW...

    Early oil change opinions

Every Commercial turbine engine is different. Several years back I worked for a small airline where I saw the same plane every day. One brand of engine I used 2 cases of oil in 10 months, another I used nearly 50 in 5 months! (0.6 quarts per hour NORMAL) On one especially long day each week I'd...

    Early oil change opinions

Yes, I'm a retired commercial aircraft mechanic / Maintenance instructor. (Airbus, Boeing, Douglas etc.) You're correct, we're all about preventative maintenance, although some might be surprised, we NEVER change the oil on commercial turbine engines. (They all hold AT LEAST 25-30 quarts)...

    Early oil change opinions

I was just wondering what the general school of thought was here considering an early first oil change. My 2025 LZ0 currently has about 600 miles on it & in about 5 weeks I'm taking it on a 2000+ mile road trip. I've read all I can find & it generally falls into 2 categories: 1. Do your first...

    Stubborn voice commands?

I guess I've just been lucky that my previous vehicles would accept the term "Tune" so I ASSUMED (Ya'll know what that means) it was the correct command. I'm now reminded of the words my father (tried) to drill into me: "When all else fails, read the directions!" Sorry guys, my bad...

    Stubborn voice commands?

"Tune" has worked on nearly every previous GM product I've owned (They told me up front on my '15 Sierra Denali not to use the voice recognition software because it was awful. They were right!) Now all of the sudden "Tune" gets changed to "Play" Engineers... They're not happy unless their...

    Stubborn voice commands?

It took some research, but I think I finally figured out the issue. Through several previous vehicles (Including my current '24 Cadillac Blackwing) I've always used the voice command "TUNE" to adjust the radio to a specific station, and it always worked. From what I read, in this new...

    2025 Yukon Garage Remote Programming

I took my Yukon out on a few errands today and tried "tapping' the Garage opener button instead of press & holding it. So far, yes, it seems to work better.

    Stubborn voice commands?

On my '25 Yukon whenever I push the speak button and make a Sirius XM radio station request of a station not programmed, my request pops up on the big screen "word for word" But then the female assistant voice always says something to the effect of "I don't recognize your command." I went to the...

    2025 Yukon Garage Remote Programming

Mine is the same: Tap it, touch and hold, nothing seems to matter. Multiple taps is the only thing that seems to work.

    High oil temperature?

I know there are lots of discussions on here about high Transmission fluid temperature on the LZO's, but my question is a bit different. (I think) I just took delivery of my 2025 Yukon LZO last week and took it out for a little "shakedown cruise" today. On the gauge page it shows pretty much...

Yeah, yeah, yeah another fuel treatment question...

While Idaho DOES produce BioDiesel, it's used almost exclusively in Department of Transportation and other gov't. vehicles.

Yeah, yeah, yeah another fuel treatment question...

The moderator is sitting on my previous comment, but essentially it says yes, additives are good for adding lubrication to Diesel fuel.

Yeah, yeah, yeah another fuel treatment question...

I've actually seen this particular video before, but to be honest, I was looking at the cetane boost, and NOT the lubrication properties. Seems to me like a worthwhile investment.

Yeah, yeah, yeah another fuel treatment question...

I've read MANY discussions on Diesel fuel treatments (Yes/no, brands to use/not use, etc.) But I don't recall it being discussed in this manner: My local (small truck) Diesel shop says YES use treatment because modern "low Sulphur" diesel fuel doesn't lubricate the high pressure fuel pump well...

    O.E. Tires

I've never purchased from Tire Rack (Now owned by Discount tire) But I've had decent luck with Discount. As with my '15 Sierra, I'll certainly keep the O.E. tires on and give them a try, but if they disappoint, I'm leaning towards a Bridgestone, or I see Vredestein (Who's been in Europe for many...

    O.E. Tires

When I talk about having to replace a new set of tires, I actually installed the previous version of the Michelin Defender LTX M/S on my '15 1500 Sierra Denali. That winter I road tripped thru some pretty bad weather in Western Wyoming, and wound up spending Christmas 2016 in Boise, Idaho during...

    O.E. Tires

I think you may have that tire confused with another. From Goodyears own website, the "Territory" AT has a 3 peak rating but the "TrailRunner" AT the vehicle comes equipped with, does not. (Except in LT sizes, which these are not) If I HAVE to change though, I'm leaning towards the Bridgestone...

    O.E. Tires

When purchasing new vehicles in the past, I've done tons of research on pretty much everything EXCEPT the tires, & it burned me a time or two. I know sometimes the O.E. tires can be pretty good & sometimes you can't get them off your vehicle soon enough. (Wrangler SR-A's) I see my 2025 Yukon AT4...

    Trans temp confusion

I have a 2025 Yukon AT4 Ultimate on order. It should be here by the end of July. (LZ0 power) But I'm confused. I have no intention of towing, but on one hand I see people installing things like the PPE Trans bypass valve to drastically lower temps (150F give, or take) BUT, on the other hand, I...
