Hopefully final update: After doing a relearn and a week of driving it every day, it appears to be fixed. No jerking while driving, no dying at stop lights, no cranks with no starts, and no CEL or pending codes. Thanks all for the help.
Went and did a relearn over lunch at my buddy's house. Drove it pretty ******* the way back to work and didn't get a flashing CEL or any pending codes. Driving home will be the true test as I get up to 70mph and set the cruise and it has happened each of the 3 times I've done that so far...
Got it swapped and started driving it today. on the way to work the CEL started flashing on and off intermittently and had a code of p0300 random cylinder misfire. But after about 5 min of driving it went off. Still haven't done a re learn yet and wonder if those two are related. Called the...
thats the plan. i've got a buddy who is a mechanic who has a scanner tool capable of doing that, so I plan on going over there after I swap it out. It should be at least driveable after changing before the relearn, right?
Another update: while driving this weekend, it finally died on me again while sitting at a stoplight and then would crank and not start. Took about 6-7 tries and finally got it to start. Had the scanner in the car and hooked up real quick and read the pending codes, lo and behold, P0335 -...
Drove again today with new scanner hooked up. Sitting at stop lights my tach is pegged at zero and scanner is reading 530-550RPM at warm running temp. The rest of my instrument cluster is working correctly, is there something else that can recalibrate the tach?
Alright, an update, but with limited testing. About 10 days ago I cleaned the MAF sensor and the MAP. When pulling the MAP sensor I noticed the o-ring was damaged. Instead of just replacing the O-ring I just purchased a new OEM Map sensor and installed it. Since then I've driven the yukon a...
I have an OBD scanner but it doesn't do live reads. Anything you'd recommend to verify this? Not trying to break the bank but would like to get this figured out.
I've driven it for 3 days straight now after cleaning the MAF and replacing the MAP and haven't had the dying/stutter happen again, but still driving around with a scanner hooked up to try to catch any code. supposed to get a long fuel gauge today and will drive with that too. Noticed today...
alright, I had a short one and hooked it up last night but it was 60 psi at idle in the garage. waiting to get a longer hose and tape to the windshield while driving to see if it changes/drops much.
Battery cables and grounds look good. Got a mechanical gauge and planning on checking the pressure this weekend. Drove it this morning for about 40 min without issue. I did clean the MAF and replaced the MAP sensor this past weekend. What pressures should I be looking at on the fuel pump...
It happened to me again at the boat ramp this weekend. Truck was still physically running but tach was buried at zero for 15-30 seconds before it died. Hoping this is the answer instead of the fuel pump.
I've got an 2006 Yukon XL 2500 with the 6.0L. Since the week before christmas I've been having an intermittent stalling issue with the engine. My wife was driving it and took off at an intersection and said that it died on her and she pulled over, turned it off and it immediately restarted...
Update on this: I figued out that one of the connectors in the back under the seat was loose, and by trying to re seat the connector, the power seat starts working and the heated seats and lumbar work. now it seems that only the back heated seat works and not the butt. Haven't had any more...
I just picked up a 2006 3/4 Yukon XL with the 6.0L. A few things I've noticed on it. The drivers power seat doesn't work, no directions at all, but the passenger works just fine. And then neither the driver or passenger heated seats work. The lights do nothing when pressing the buttons...
