    2008 XL self locked

    My Tahoe has self locked. Engine running...ha....anyways, I had a hidden key underneath and had to crawl under to get it. Got dirty but got opened. I don't trust it anymore and am careful to keep my keys with me when I get out.

    I bought Densos and they wouldn't work. Had to get the OEM O2's. That was a bad screwup....$$$$$.....good luck

    My stock ant wouldn't work. I installed a vetical one in the normal place they would go. Works great....and as a bonus.....in a full parking lot, I just look for the Tahoe with an antenna.....no other ones have it...ha ha

    On my '12, I use a plumbing pipe fitting seated on the jack pad....think it's a 1" x 2" bell reducer......works just right !

    Yeah....you gottta beat them in with a socket. I think this is a weird setup, but looks like it works, with no leaks. The seals I bought from O Reillys were made in China. Must be made of really tough stuff, needing to be beat into location like that. The hose ends are tapered metal and I lubed...

    Mine not leaking.....It has slack in a tie-rod causing the steering to wander. Guess I will have to wait until I pull the old rack to see what's what with the hyd lines and gaskets.....thanks for the reply.
