    Can door handles be interchanged?

    There is a chance the the left rear door handle will work. The entire mechanism may not work but the handle itself may be easy to move. I'm sure GM did not make it easy to move the handle but you can always drill out rivets etc.

    It certainly will not hurt anything to change the oil early, just an added expense. An alternative that might make you feel better.... just change the filter and top off the oil. If there is any debris in the oil, the filter should catch it.
