The length is the critical measurement. Resonant frequency of 100mhz is 2.34 feet for a quarter wave but being trapped near a car body hampers that anyway.
Dexcool fails in a way that it becomes acidic. From age or air intrusion. Mixing it with any other coolant really makes a mess.
Im gong to run it again after a full flush. I have a new pump and radiator already. I am going to add a float switch of some sort in the purge tank to let me know if...
Replace. Thats where mine cracked. Mine had the wrong coolant in it before I got it. $200 or so at orielys. Yours doesn’t have the engine oil cooler so it may be less.
Replaced the radiator in my 05 Yukon Denali. Not a bad job. Old radiator cracked on the engine oil cooler side by the top cooler line. Took an hour to do.
If I remember correctly theres a check calve in the fuel system that keeps the lines full. If its bad the lines drain out and it gets hard to start or the fuel lines may have been moved with the trans work and they are near a hot spot and the fuel is boiling in the line.
I have a Denali with an 8500 lbs towing capacity and towed a car trailer through north Georgia. Straight hitch. No trailer brakes. Pulled great but braking was at its limit. Engine braking and a cautious speed is what kept my brakes from burning on those hills. I was at 4-5000 pounds. These...
Tape over that shit yo. Till you get to the body shop. Itll leak less than it was.
My wife is driving my Denali for now. She pissed off the Benz. I loved that truck.
Nice buy. I second the factory replacement parts for autoride or remove it all completely. Including replacing the rear springs with a non autoride set. Weak and failing autoride ruins the stability to almost an unsafe level while driving. Especially if the front alignment isn’t perfect.
They sell bonding adhesive that could hold a panel underneath then some filler to cover but that is still failure prone. Tacking a small piece of metal in the hole would be about the same work and last a lot longer. Im sorry if Im coming off as a bodywork snob. Just trying to help.
Most alignment shops at tire places are inept. They will do a “toe and go” and charges you the full price. I take mine to a frame shop. I get a report sheet and have never has an issue with it.
