    I had a choice of rebuilding my engine or replace it, if I replaced it the shop was going to charge me 500.00 labor. I ended up rebuilding the engine which cost me more money and headaches at the end.

    Help with coolant mystery

    Do a search on Castech heads, I had the same problem. Castech heads were a bad bach of heads from GM, I had the same problem with mine, I had to replace both heads, both were cracked. Look for the casting number 706.

    Last fall my AC worked great, only thing i've had done was replaced both heads, so I took it to the shop today and they said it has plenty of freon, everything was working. The mechanic said it's not switching from heat to ac? Do I need to replace the computerized climate controlled panel?
