Aftermarket head unit swap in your PPV

    PPV..Any forums with more activity?

The PPV/SSV section was created due to the uniqueness of our vehicles , Most of our vehicles are ex govt inventory, so that being said the older the unit, the more would be in the 2007-2014 section, that's where you will find more post's. And most of the inquiries are for electrical...

    Light bulb replacement

Who's the idiot that designed that shit? he ought to be hung by his n#t Sa$k. On my Caddy you have to remove the front bumper. I guess they figure if you can afford to drive these you can afford the hundred bucks or so labor to change a frickin light bulb. Just my 2cents!!!!

    Pet Barrier (K9)

I made one for my 2011, out of 1/2 inch pvc pipe . It has arms that hook into the cargo hooks at the rear of the vehicle. Best 20 bucks I ever spent. the cheapeset one I found at petsmart was 80 bucks and attached to the vehicle like a shower curtain rod, don't waste your money. Just my 2 cents!!!

    This weekends work...

Mine I got from Ebay a couple of years ago. Now keep in mind as our body style ages, that more and more parts are going to show up in junk yards and you pull it's. The owners of the yard are most likely more willing to let something go at a reasonable price than hanging onto it for top dollar...

2013 PPV Slight Idle Shake Unknown Cause

Mechanics or Technicians as some like to be called and Service advisors or Service consultants like to be called, are all paid on commission. So you go in there and ask a shit ton of questions and want the tech to come talk to you first, yeah right, try doing that at a doctors office. It's...

    Battery help

Not using it for police work, or towing a camper you could have most likely replaced just one and left the other disconnected. I had a crewcab dually that I did that to, with no problems.

    Installing garage door opener

Yep, no problem plug and play, once you get it installed you have to program your door to it, and clear out the previous codes if you bought it used. I also changed the switch in the center for the roof emergency lights to power my dash cam.

    Got my 2010 PPV

So let me get this right, you did not change the steering wheel, you just added the radio switches, correct? Had you changed out the complete wheel with a leather wrapped one, which there are plenty of out there, Yes it would have been plug and play as mine was.

Looks good you need to access the GM upfitters manual for the wiring diagrams. also check the wire bundle for the RPO code. Then I can help better.

    Bluetooth question

I think you need to install a VCIM module, If my memory serves me correct. However I don't think the wiring harness supports it. I have had my Tahoe for three years now and if it was possible I would have it installed. I tried an aftermarket Bluetooth unit that interfaces with the radio...
