Servicing Transfer Case and F/R Differentials - Fluid Recommendations?

Order placed for 4 quarts of 75W-90 and 3 quarts of Signature Series Multi-Vehicle Synthetic ATF with your ZO as the referring customer. Thanks for pushing me in the direction that I knew I should go. I was just hoping to use something local to get the work done this weekend. I'll see if I can...

Servicing Transfer Case and F/R Differentials - Fluid Recommendations?

So looking at the specs and change interval for the Amsoil Severe Gear SAE 75W-90, would this really be a once an most likely done service for the differentials? I was planning to swap out the rear diff cover for one with a drain plug and use a lube locker G850 gasket. That way the cover would...

Servicing Transfer Case and F/R Differentials - Fluid Recommendations?

I am planning on tackling the service on my transfer case and both differentials in the near future. After checking my owner's manual, and a little additional research, this is what my 2005 AWD Yukon with a NR3 transfer case originally required: Transfer Case - DEXRON III-H Front Differential -...

    Service Tire Moniter

I opted to get a set of 4 ACDelco sensors from Amazon. They were $40 a piece, and I had them installed at a local tire shop. They installed them, rebalanced the wheels, and did a 4-wheel alignment for $69. I could have bought Dorman sensors for $25 each, but I they had quite a few reviews of DOA...

    Service Tire Moniter

Obvious question, but did the 22s have TPMS sensors installed? If so, we're they programed to your vehicle after installing? If you transferred over your OEM sensors to the new wheels one may have a dead battery. That was the message on my DIC when I purchased my 2005. Turned out 2 of the 4...

    Blackout grill on nbs denali

Not directly, but when I got the grille off I saw that someone had already tried to repair the areas with an epoxy that was not really designed for plastic and had cracked. I scrapped all the existing epoxy off with a dull chisel, so the areas were pretty roughed up when I applied the JB Weld...

    2006 Yukon Denali Rims

Thanks. My zip code is 01062. If it is any cheaper to ship to a commercial address with a loading dock I could receive them at work. The zip there is 01089. If she needs an exact address PM me and I shoot it over to you.

    Ideas on cigarette lighter?

I tapped into the accessory power socket located behind a square plastic cover below the parking break. There is a socket next to the socket where you would plug in a trailer break controller. Of the 5 or 6 pins in the socket one is ground, one is 12v constant, and one is 12v switched by the...

    2006 Yukon Denali Rims

I would really like these to use as dedicated rims for snow tires in the winter, but I imagine it would cost more to ship them across the country to Massachusetts then you are asking for them. If you don't get any local interest, let me know and we figure how much shipping would actually be.

    Blackout grill on nbs denali

J-B Weld KwikWeld Quick Setting Steel Reinforced Epoxy For the damaged struts between the main grille and the turn signal surrounds I just used the epoxy. For the main break in the grille surround I embedded a 1"x4" piece of perforated steel in the epoxy to bridge the area.

    Blackout grill on nbs denali

It's painted. This grille was damaged when I got it last year, so I repaired the cracks with epoxy and sprayed it with a semi-gloss Rustoleum designed for plastic. It is basically a test to see if I Iiked the look, which I do. If my repairs fail or the paint doesn't hold up I'll find a new...

    Oil type for 2000 Tahoe

I use Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage 5W-30 Synthetic with a Mobil 1 filter. I just did a change this weekend and it was $23 for the 5-qt jug, $6 for the extra quart, and $9 for the filter. With tax it came out right at $40 for the supplies.

    Blackout grill on nbs denali

I opted to black out the mesh insert since my body paint is black. I thought the total lack of chrome would be a little too aggressive, and the all chrome look of the stock grille was a little more then I liked. @XLDenali06, this is pretty close to what your's would look like (just shorter).

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

First oil change since I picked up my Yukon last June. Just hit 160k, and 5k since I got it. Decided to make the switch to Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage 5W30 Synthetic and a Mobil 1 M1-107A filter. It's what I've been using in my Ford Focus (5W20 & M1-102A) the last few changes, and it really...

    Tune event in the northeast?

I asked in another thread about buying/using a used Autocal. This was the reply I got from @BlackBearPerf: I was able to buy a used Black Bear Autocal from the GMFS forum classified section. I'm just saving my pennies to do the email tune. If there was a in person event near me, I might do...

    Tune event in the northeast?

Yeah, I'd be happy with something as far as Albany, NY or Hartford, CT. I looked at the map of past events, and it looks like they did one at some point in Springfield, MA which is about 5 minutes from where I am currently sitting at my office desk typing this. I doubt I'll get lucky of one ever...

    Tune event in the northeast?

There is currently a potential event set for the Spring of 2017 in Somerset, NJ on the Black Bear Calendar Page. It looks like they only confirm an event once they have deposits for at least 15 tune appointments. If that location works for any of you, let them know and put down a deposit...

Ah, ok. Sounds like you have a plan. For some reason I was assuming that you were converting the back room into a modern style toy-hauler. Good luck with the project.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I removed mine without needing to pull the airbag, but when it came time to reinstall, the lower two were just too short to get them in the sockets. I tried the needle nose trick, but they were still way down in the well. I popped the airbag, and while it was off I pulled all four harnesses back...

    Can i haul this?

It looks like an '03 4WD 5.3L is rated for 7,400lbs whether it has a 3.73 or a 4.10. I also tried to find the closest match for the trailer and a 1992 '24 Innsbruck comes in at a dry weight of 5,200lbs. There should be a decal on the front driver's side exterior corner with the information...

    Can i haul this?

Can you provide any more information about your Tahoe? Engine size, rear axle ratio, 2wd / 4wd? All these things change your tow rating. Also, a year and model number of the Gulfstream would help to get the specs for it. It really looks like that is much longer than 24'. Mine is a 21'...
