2nd Row Rear bucket Seat 2005 XL
If you flip up the seat bottom...the passenger side has a bunch of cables that seem to do nothing. The driver side has none at all. ???? What are they. To flip the bottom forward all you do is pull up on the center tab. To recline or lay the back flat forward you grab the handle on the side. But... -
Blend door actuator or controller issue?
I can see an actuator if a blend door were "stuck" in a position, but mine will "spontaneously" change to hot-on-the-left when at a LIGHT. Wouldn't that point toward the controller...an erratic electrical signal to the blend door??? -

driver side hot sometimes 2005 Yukon XL A/C all works fine. The all-of-a-sudden...driver side will blow hot. Turn off engine and start again and all back to normal for a few days. I don't see how cleaning an actuater would be it. Seems more like an electrical issue?!? Like the control??? -

Found it ! I was all for new(er) brake pads, but found a good mechanic (after going to TWO GMC Dealers who said nothing was wrong - normal brake dust squeak!?!?) that said "let's not rush into anything...let's tear it down for a VERY CLOSE inspection". squeaking coming from rear when turning please help!!!
Same Thing Exact same squeak on right rear, especially on slow tight right turn. Been thru TWO GMC dealers. Got new back plates, discs, pads, etc ($800) = still squeaks. They BOTH say the brakes are perfect - it must be brake dust !?!?!? STILL SQUEAKS.- SnowBuck

Brake clink
brake pad Dealer claims after-market pads didn't fit perfectly and had some play that clunked when they grabbed. Don't know if I believe it, but replaced with new GM parts and it seemed to go away (?).- SnowBuck

Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor

2005 Yukon XL SLT. Solid 19mpg highway (drive MD-to-Jersey thru DE weekly). Set cruise on 60mph and don't touch it. Set a record 22 once. Better mileage then my Cherokee and a heckofa lot more comfortable! Stop & go city - another story.- SnowBuck

Dome Light OverRide Doesn't
Used to work. Now, with button IN the dome lights still come on every time you open the door?!? Anyone have this happen? When I'm loading, cleaning, etc. and have the doors/tailgate open for a few hours, hate to have the dome lights on all the time. -
Heated Seats
If one seat pad is shorting out, it trips the relay, then neither works. -
Replace seat cushion
And get the 2 deep socket E-Torx sockets. If looking on the web, search for GMC seat removal tool. -
Removing the driver's seat question?
E-torx I did it too...simple when you have the right tool for the right job. -
4WD vs AWD
Throw Stabilatrak in the mix Denali's have the AWD. Most Yukons and all Suburbans the 2H/4H/4L. HOWEVER, there are a rare few Yukons with the Stabilatrak which is a computerized hybrid between the 2 that controls power to each wheel and DOES has 4/L. LOL Look up "squiggly line button"!- SnowBuck

Service Air Bag light after bumper removal
Same "check airbag" display Got that when I took the front seat out...forgot to reconnect the weight pressure sensor on the bottom of the seat = fixed it. Doubt just unplugging your bumper sensors would have broken them, but...price replacement of your airbags if they accidentally deploy while...- SnowBuck

bad gas mileage
No Tune/Totally Stock Drive MD-to-NJ every 2 weeks. Rt50/Bay Bridge/301/295. Set the cruise on 60mph. Never touch the gas most of the way....best was 23+ but can count on a solid 20+. Looked at an Excursion on eBay. The guy thought he was just taking car pics of the interior, but didn't...- SnowBuck

The ol' Squiggly Line button LOL LOL Man have I been all thru this when I bought my 2005 XL/SLT. In a nutshell: It's a rare (Stabilitrac) option on a Yukon. What you (I) have is a hybrid cross between AWD (Denali) and 4x4 (Suburban). Denali's are AWD all-the-time = the worst gas mileage... -
Driver seat question
Funny as I bought a 2005 Yukon XL/SLT from the Dealer and the seat was as you described. Got them to replace the seat motor (or maybe the switch) before I took delivery. -
Red Battery Lite
2005 XL/SLT. Came on leaving the gas station. Took it to the Dealer. Parked & started again - It never came on again. They can't experience it. Everything tests OK...battery, alternator, wiring, etc. No Codes. What-the-hey??? -

A/C Noise
wah wah Mine is more of a wah wah wah sound on the passenger side engine compartment...and also blows ice cold (????). Sounds like the engine room of a sub or something ?!?!?!? I hear it in the car (2005 XL/SLT) but can't pin point it with the hood open (?!?).- SnowBuck
