How many of you DO NOT experience buffetting and vibration problem?
2005 XL w/ Michelin Defender 265/70R17...cruise a smooth 80/85 weekly. You all convinced me to just keep what I got rather then take a chance on something new & worse!!!- SnowBuck

Vibration in Steering Wheel & Armrest While Stopped
Latest: added 4 (four) exhaust vibration dampers to the exhaust system in addition to new engine AND tranny mounts. NO CHANGE! Still a vibration in steering wheel only at specific rpm's (like 700) WHILE PARKED and idling. Me, the Dealer, 3 garages...all give up! -

Can feel it in the steering wheel while STOPPED/PARKED around 700 rpm's. Now in the FORTH GARAGE!!! THEY think it has something to do with the exhaust system. They read something (TSB???) about welding weights to the exhaust or using exhaust dampers (?). -

UPDATE: The Dealer installed (OEM) new engine mounts and transmission mount. NO CHANGE @$!@#$% Vibration seems to intensify at approx. 650 rpms. Lessens above/below that. Two mechanics and the Dealer have no clue !!! There's got to be "some thing" vibrating related to rpm's. -

Couldn't find a thread on this. Took it to the GMC Dealer. X-pens-ive !!! Anyone ever replace a front impact sensor??? For $777 I said I'd take theirs out and melt it down just for the gold!!!!!! LOL -

I think it IS indeed part of the pedal adjustment. AND, I spread out newspaper and silicon-sprayed all around the pedal while moving it up & down and hit the squeak! -
2005 Yukon, oil pressure pegged at 80
Check my old Thread on this. SAME problem...was the sending unit on the top back of the engine. It always stayed around 40 for years...seems THAT should have been an indication its bad...s/b more like 60 when cold or high speed...40 at idle warmed up. -

Name That Part
It's on the top of the brake pedal. It's not the brake switch. It makes a loud clicking sound when parked and push the pedal by hand, but not when in Drive (as far as I hear) . But I DO HAVE a single "click" when I apply the brake while driving?!?!? That "click" gets on my nerves! So does the... -

They are different. I have a 2005XL - LUV the body style...chrome, steel, glass...not all plastic. Held the #1 button. beep beep. Then moved the seat way forward. Got out, locked the car. Then hit the unlock on the fob = NO CHANGE in the seat til I got in, and hit the #1 button... THEN back to... -

Do they adjust to Position #1 ??? I don't see anything in the DIC that controls that (2005 XL). R U saying...if I mess with the seat while driving...then I park...use the key fob to open the door...it'll reset the seat to before?!? -

Oil Pressure Gauge Readings
Mine had always stayed at 40lbs or a tad above. This weekend it all-of-a-sudden pegged at 80lbs on startup and stayed there! Diagnosed as a bad sending unit...replaced it. Now it reads 60lbs (on cold start or at 80mph) and 40 at warm idle...up & down 40-60 with rpms. Dealer said it had been bad... -
