    It was the lifters on the left side! Man, am I glad I didn't do the head gasket LAST month because of a coolant leak as it'll be done now!!!

    2005 Yukon XL 5.3 140k miles. For the very first time, Sunday morning: started up and TAP TAP TAP TAP. Checked the oil = full. Drove 2 blocks and voila...taping totally gone!?!?!? Ever heard of this? Can't wait to turn the key Monday morning!

    Guess I was in the 1% broken down on the side of a mountain in WV trying to get to Snowshoe Ski Resort! That's the only reason I got it...didn't work...so cancelled it. Of course it would work if I broke down in my driveway inside the DC beltway. THAT's not why I got it.

    Guess I'm just old & confused! If it has "no service" just how can "But I believe the system will still connect". One & only time I used/needed OnStar = it DIDN'T WORK! Canceled it. SiriusXM is $13/month...but I only listened to ONE channel. Canceled it.

If contemplating signing up, reevaluate just where you might be needing it. I got it for ski trips in WV but it lost connectivity once off the main highway. I canceled it...

    LOL Or if a meteor hits you, or if the Space Station falls on you... The one and only time I could have used it was when I broke down in the middle of WV. Hit the button. Got something like "Not in service area"...it wouldn't connect. Canceled it the day I got it back home!!!

    Thanx to all that responded. After 4 garages and the Dealer: pressure test/dye test/head gasket test ... all said "I dunno!"... I put in those tablets (ground up in to the radiator hose): I haven't added a drop since !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    OK... hammered in a baggie, dumped in to the upper radiator hose. Now...how long til I see a result: like how many miles?

    OK...sounds like what I need since no test shows any leaks!?!?!? Now...If I were to grind them up (maybe a baggie & a hammer) and take off the top radiator hose, and drop it in - How many???

    These sound like the answer to me. How did you put them in: drop in the surge (overflow) tank or do you need to take off a radiator hose?

    Just what are these "tablets" you speak of and where do you get them??? Though I am very hesitant to insert anything in the engine.     2005 XL...adding 1/2" a week. Three garages + the Dealer all say: "I dunno"! No symptoms like rough idle (could balance a nickel on it), loss of MPG (none - gets 22 on the road), smell outside-or-in (none). Did the big 4 Tests multiple times at different garages: Visual look, Pressure test...

    Couldn't agree more. I'm single, no kids or ex...doubt I'll be driving from the back seat, so have no use what-so-ever for a Rear Entertainment System. That's why I may settle on a Suburban HC version.

    Bought a car in Florida with the tint. Couldn't register it in Maryland til the tint was removed and it was inspected to verify it was removed.
