    2013 Tahoe..Preventive vs Reactive

Yes, in the owners manual. But thinks like hoses, control arms, struts/shocks, ball joints are not listed.

    2013 Tahoe..Preventive vs Reactive

Thinking my truck needs many things to be “as new”. Curious as to what all of you think should be done as preventive maintenance vs what you would just wait till it breaks to fix. For example: replace shocks/struts at 100k miles or wait till they break? Replace upper and lower ball joints, or...

Rear wiper not contacting rear glass

Okay, the verdict is in. It was not what you suggested, however I did not know that the shaft was splined. Due to this, I had "cross-threaded" the splining and I thought I had really screwed things up. Off, on, off, on, off, and on again with the replacement. Each time the unit was getting...

Rear wiper not contacting rear glass

Good morning everyone, I have a question regarding the rear wiper bar/blade. A few months ago I went through the car wash and it knocked off the plastic pice that covers the rear wiper arm mounting nut. Since the arm itself had been faded from the sun, I just ordered an entire new arm...

New Tahoe Owner with a few questions/concerns

So I did finally troubleshoot the rear washer motor. It turns out the motor is pumping loud, but the fluid is coming out somewhere behind the driver's side front wheel. I'm sure it is a broken hose. I may look to fix this myself tomorrow while off.

New Tahoe Owner with a few questions/concerns

Update: 1. I did finally get the garage door opener synced up—-boy was it finicky. 2. I removed the front push bar and led lights. 3. I went by the dealer and made and appointment to have the door, rear washer, and battery checked out (just for safety’s sake-car is 5 years old)

Thank you for your post. It was excellent. BTW, the rear sensors are working :-). The "dealers being owners" is an excellent observation!

    Tahoe vs Tacoma

Ed, I held off on posting a reply until I could get to my laptop, as I knew my reply could get lengthy (something I loathe doing over my phone). To address your comments/concerns: When I was young (I am in my mid 40's), I grew up with a father that owned only domestic automobiles. In the...

Sounds like I have some reading to do, a book to buy, and a VIN to decode.

Very good information. Thank you. Bumper was removed last week and “repainted”. It had taken a bump and was scratched. My guess is, like you said, body shop didn’t get it popped in correctly. Wonder if I could, or if the bumper has to be off? I will check the DIC controls

New Tahoe Owner with a few questions/concerns

Good evening Tahoe family, I have been doing some reading on here over the past hour. Read through the "sticky" and then a few odd and end posts here and there. I have a few things that I have noticed about my Tahoe and I have developed a curiosity over a few other things after reading. I...

    Hello

They are 18"s. Don't get me wrong, I can also see the draw of the black wheels. For me, though, I prefer the "cleaner" look of the factory stuff. The other wheels are now for sale :-)
