LT has nothing to do with size. they make a P265 70 17 and an LT265 70 17. the LT will usually be a heavy duty tire for 2500's but can be run on 1500's. generally they will have a rougher ride on 1/2 tons but a harder tread compound that lasts longer.
i HIGHLY recommend against firestone as...
check your u joints. mine used to do this and after i had my u joints replaced i noticed it is no longer doing this.
to check u joints, just park your truck, get underneath and see if you can rotate your drive shaft. mine has a small amount of play but when i pulled it out, i found this
new...
thats a bit high if you ask me.
compare your prices on parts with http://www.ronsmachiningservice.net/
both the gears, diff, and install i have priced out at $600 for the 4.30's from there
the local 4 wheel parts here charges $450 for install on rears and they are gonna be on the high side...
my radiator busted while i was at the beach this spring break. had no choice but to limp it into town and replaced it with one from autozone. don't even know what brand it is but it was the only one in town that was a 34" so i bought it. seems to be holding up just fine but i had some trouble...
amazon has em for 39.95 shipped. just sayin.
for what its worth i recently installed these and they are working great. perfect replacements for any gm vehicle.
lol if you thought he was building that truck for looks...
looks good mike. some people don't understand that not everyone lives in huge cities and have some good use for mods like this. perfect for small back country roads
nice man, i did my waterpump, gaskets, thermostat and coolant hoses about 4 months ago all with ac delco. holding up/working like a champ. although when i was bolting on the thermostat housing to the water pump i felt like i almost stripped one of the little screws when i was torquing it to 106...
body lift is going to be your only other option since your suspension will be extremely maxed out from that lift.. the 2" body lift from zone is 300$ and the 3" from Performance Accessories is 600$. in combined with the 500$ for the 3.5" your better off just getting the 5" rough country with a...

see if this applies to you but probably not. my abs/parking light wouldnt' come on till i hit a bump. basically the solder joints inside the abs unit go bad after a while but if you have any basic soldering ability, its super simple to resolder them...
just need to spend a little more time with the front end. this is my first photo chop
i'm not too impressed with my drop photoshopping abilities but the front end looks 10000000x better colormatched and headlights cleared
looks like 20x12's right?
just want everyone to realize the wider the wheel you run the smaller the tire you can fit. which is why he has to run a 6+3 to fit a 35 and i'm running just a 6" lift with my 20x12 and 33's and i still rub. had i chosen a different wheel, i could fit bigger tires...
this thread got me curious. i've had a little squeak in the back of my truck for a while now. i already took it apart and figured out it was my parking brake shoe, but i wanted to check out these backing plates.
not to make anyone jealous, but here's what my stock 200k mile backing plates look...
been there done that. same thing happened to me but the guy sort of got away. his bumper/license plate fell off but he didn't have insurance anyways. so i had to pay 250$ for my uninsured motorist deductible. not even worth going to court to try and get that back from the guy.
good luck...
yes, the alumasport calipers use the full rotor. but its over twice as much for that kit than what i paid for the eradispeed +2 kit. eventually i'll upgrade the calipers but for now its worlds better than what i had.
i was able to get the eradispeed +2 kit for $535 shipped to my door.
edit...
had a semi-close encounter with a mazda tribute that spun out in front of me this morning at 70 mph and decided to go ahead and install the front kit today after class. Rear eradispeed +1 kit is on order.
Truck is a 2000 NBS Tahoe 2wd with a 6" RCD lift kit on 20x12 moto metal 962's and 305 55...
i've seen 10x more kmc slides than ck375's and i work at a tire shop. if you want something less people have, go with the 375's. and i'd stay with 22's. roads are really shitty here so i'm kind of impartial and i don't like having to worry about every bump in the road.
looks good. a year or two from now when your replacing tires you can do the switch if you want. but on 1/2 tons i really wouldn't go any bigger than 35's.
shit thats not good.. have any alignment problems? might have hit something there just right to cause that. my friend bent the shit out of his on one part but he doesn't have IFS anymore anyways.. only thing i've ever seen.
valve cover bolts should be 106 INCH lbs of torque. please note the inch pounds, not foot pounds.
i recommend doing each bolt in increments by hand until you reach the final torque. that way one isn't being fully torqued down while the other 3 are still completely loose. make sure to thread...
only good for the 95 and older tbi vehicles. and don't really do much even then.
i have one on my truck. it was free. i'd take it off but lazyness to find the original length bolts has gotten to me. whistle noise has gotten kinda old/wish it was a real turbo instead haha sound just isn't quite...
