    Anyone else had their engine hours reset randomly?

    Sometime years ago the hours just reset to zero on my 2010 Tahoe. Currently it shows 3120.8 hours and that is at 270860 miles... No I haven't averaged 86MPH for the life of it. Weird that it hasn't reset again just the 1 time.

    Your tick sounds louder than mine but mine has made a ticking noise for a long time when under the hood which I was today (changing the radiator). Mine has 270K miles I don't even hear the ticking inside it even with windows down, only when I have the hood up. How pronounced is yours?

    I replaced the water pump a few months ago for a slow leak and being noisy. Today replaced the radiator which wasn't too bad of a job. A few days ago I noticed that the water was getting low and could smell coolant faintly so I replaced the cap since the o-Ring was completely hard and flat. LOL...

    I agree but I didn't want my drill to be covered in tranny fluid as I drilled the hole, anyway for me It was easy to put my aluminum jack and jack the exhaust down. Maybe a combo of the two methods would be the best give even more clearance.

    Yes since I never can pull a full pan without making a huge mess... I needed a drain plug. I rebuilt the 6L80 in mine at 192k miles since the torque converter lock failed and spit metal in the tranny.

    The first time I did the pan drop I installed a drain plug in it. The exhaust is in the way but if you have a light jack you can jack the exhaust down from the body and give just enough room to get the filter out.
