That's generally my opinion on it is as well. It's $150 for the high pressure, high flow oil pump.......but yea theres another hour of labor in there to get all the front end junk off. It does also allow you to check the state of the timing chain as well.
Well, I had a local sketchy tire shop put the replacement tires on my trailer on tuesday. They mentioned they had a set of the factory 8 lug rims in 18".....and they had my interest. I wouldn't mind a more street friendly tire for the nicer months. They wanted 300 for the rims alone, and I...
I hate front end noises so much. There's so much going on there. You kinda need to narrow it down.
-Noise on bumps only? (ball joints/shocks/struts?)
-Noise on turn? (tie rod ends/pitman/idler arm?)
-Noise varies on speed? (CVs or bearings maybe?)
More information is really what you need...
Hmm, you didn't specify your vehicle, but based on some checking, it looks like the 41110 is an iridium plug, but the plugs for a 09 5.3 tahoe are the delco 41162. That's all I can really offer at the moment.
There's something to be said about buying something that you're already familiar with. Might not have all the latest bells and whistles. But knowing what to expect in the future and how to fix it is relaxing in some ways.
Fun story, when I was flushing the coolant in my old envoy, I assumed the dexcool bottle I grabbed at Oreilly was 50/50 premix. I loaded it into the radiator, and boom ready to go. For some reason or another I had an odd feeling, and looked at the bottle again and realized my mistake that it was...
I like my burb, it's a 2007 so I can reply here right?! I have a wish list....I'd prefer a 4.10 rear, and a 6 spd trans.....just to increase the capacity of it. As it sits though, it starts, drives, all without issue...so we'll see how she continues in.
Well today I finally got off my winter deadass and got my cargo carrier mounted.
This bad boy retails for 250, and its the Pepboys brand but theres a funny story behind this craigslist purchase. The guy didnt have the keys for it, so he drilled out the rivets from the lock to get inside it...
Man I'm sore. Did a super clean of the burb carpet today. What a pain in the ass. And so much to gripe about. Like...who the hell thought to use these star nut things?! Are the front seats REALLY that desirable that they need a theft deterrant? And...why the hell are there two different sizes of...
That does seem low but not far off of what mine is doing
I saw another picture of a suburban at idle and it was about the same. Ive got a new sensor and it has never bottomed out so I think it's OK at this rate.
So I've posted various videos here and but they were in random spots. When I had first gotten the truck it has pretty significant engine noise. Here's some before and after vids along with what I have done along the way.
First, this is a video of when I first got the truck. Fully warmed up to...
Hahaha, whats going on there?! I mean, yeah its obviously in a blind spot with the A pillar, but to keep going?!
I'm finding I like this truck more and more each day as I am using it as a daily driver right now. I've seen a few other videos, and some random pics that lead me to believe that my...
Might as well do your oil pickup tube oring as well since you're in there. As paranoid as I've been lately regarding oil pressure, it's all I see anymore.
