    My issue is that the damn 2500 sits so high. I have a step ladder whenever I need to do motor stuff but its not really stable when I need to reach far down.

    Well finally after like 16 months after buying it, I installed the HUD thing I bought at Fry's. Needs a little more adjustment but I like it quite well for the 13 bucks or whatever I paid for it. Crap picture, but it was better than the daylight....

    I personally, would never own an escalde (es-ka-lah-day). I think they are pretentious, driven by people who want to look big and act bigger. :flame: That said.......the 6.2 is definitely a factor in support of the esky.

    I dont know about your particular motor but the jasper for my ly6 (when I thought the motor was crapped out) was 4k, plus 2500 for install. Not horrible for a quality rebuild.

    It did seem runny, but not milkshakey. Best I can tell its engaged, the 4WD light kicks on nearly immediately now. Sometimes it took a couple of seconds prior to the fluid change.
