    Sluggish Tahoe

I am hoping that it is just the gearing. I am not sure if I would ever replace them, but it is a possibility. Probably would go with the 4.11. Thanks for the insight! Nice wheels!

Denali acts as if the battery is dead.

Sounds like a bad connection to me as well. Maybe something is corroded or just loose. If you used cheaper cables for your second battery, there could be corrosion inside of the cable itself.

    Service engine soon

It should not be too difficult. There is a lot of stuff to undo, but if you just take your time, it should take more than a few hours.

Mine did not have a change in performance either. Maybe that is why it went back off after a few days. Might have gotten some bad gas or something. The "knock" is going to happen. The knock sensor is what detects it and makes the necessary changes to the timing. There are 2 knock sensors. You...

    Service engine soon

It basically tells you motor when it advance or retard your timing from what I understand. You can go to any parts store (Advance, Auto Zone, O'Reilly) and they can scan your truck for free and tell you exactly what it is. Also, maybe have them clear it if they are willing to, and see if it...

    Oil Additives - Remove Sludge

I have used the BG additives in my Tahoe. They seemed to work pretty well. I ordered a 3 pack off of Amazon for like $50. It included the stuff you add in prior to an oil change (EPR). Add it then run it for like 20 miles and change oil while engine is still hot. Also included the MOA, which you...

    Service engine soon

Mine just did that a few days ago. I was passing someone and it came on. Got it scanned and it was a knock sensor. After about 3 days the light went back off and has not returned yet. Hopefully it doesn't.

Code is glove box says GT4. 3.73. Seems like those gears would pull the ol' 'hoe alright...maybe not?

    Sluggish Tahoe

That has alway kind of been on the back of my mind. I think that 3.23 is way too high from the factory for a vehicle this heavy anyways. I will check my glove box in a little bit to confirm gears.

I need to check in the glove box to confirm that hough.

    Sluggish Tahoe

I want to say it is 3.23. Pretty high for such a heavy vehicle IMO.

    Sluggish Tahoe

Hey guys, I am David and I am new to this forum. Just joined about an hour ago. I have an 01 Tahoe 4x4. 5.3. 215k on the dash. K&N intake. 3'' lift in the rear with the torsion bars turned up a bit in the front. Larger/wider tires also. My 'hoe seems to be pretty sluggish at highway speeds...
