Sunroof Inoperable when Hot Temperatures Outside

Maybe it is a convenience feature. Your car is telling you that it is hot as crap outside, you don't want that thing open! haha But seriously, does it seem to make an attempt to open at all? Any movement? Noises? Creaking? Can you see the voltmeter on the dash drop a little bit when you're...

New to the site, looking for answers...

What happened between it running for 10 seconds and your mechanic diagnosing the problem? Did you drive it to the shop? After it ran for 10 seconds, did it die by itself? Will it turn over?

Wow. Fortunately, these are not bad to come off. I have already replaced both of them once. No salt down in GA!

    Tahoe surging but not brakes?

I am not sure what exactly you mean by surging, but my Tahoe acted funny when I replaced my wheel bearing initially. After I replaced mine, once i got down to about 5-10 mph, the brake pedal would push back at me (like the ABS was engaging). It made it where I could not stop quickly sometimes...

I am going to be ordering them in the next few days and putting them on next week. Next step will be finding my oil leak lol

    Front End Noise

After weaving all over the road yesterday, I found that the noise goes away if I swerve to the left. New wheel bearings it is!

Yeah, it am just hoping it is not in my carrier...

    Front End Noise

I will try the swerving thing. If by frequency you mean how often then it does change. It does change with speed, but it does not really get any louder. It is also not similar to the noises that a mud tire makes (the faster you drive, the higher the pitch is). It is just as loud at 20 as it is...

    Front End Noise

No, I never tested jumping on the bumper. I have not checked for play since I just put the wheel bearing on a few days ago. In my personal experiences, bad wheel bearings have always changed pitch the faster you went. I am not sure if this could still be the case or not. I will probably be...

    Front End Noise

I was listening more today, and the noise does not change pitch. It is pretty much the same pitch through all speeds, but the noise gets faster. It is not a steady hum. I can't really post a video because my tires are kind of noisy and you probably would not be able to hear the noise. It is...

    Full HID Kit

I have my regular headlights as HIDs already. I just want them as highs and fogs as well. If I can find a full set of everything, I will just replace what I have. I feel like a full set may save me a few bucks.

    Full HID Kit

Does anyone know if you can buy a full HID kit. Highs, Lows and Fogs all in one kit?

    Front End Noise

2001 Tahoe 5.3 4x4 So I recently noticed some noise coming from the front end of my Tahoe. It sounded to me like a wheel bearing. The previous owner claims they just put new ones on (a little over a year ago now) and I already had to replace the passenger side. It was making a VERY loud noise...

When is Dual Battery/Alternator necessary ? How much audio power ?

I have a 500 watt amp and a JL W7 in my Tahoe. I put a yellow top battery in it and when that sub hits, you can see it on the voltage meter. I also have a capacitor under the back seat.

    Subs still not working

If you are going to do that, it may be just as easy to find a fuse in the driver's side dash fuse box and just shove the remote wire into one that is only hot when the Tahoe is on. I just know if it were me, I would forget the first day to turn the switch off and I would be stranded. lol

    Subs still not working

Nice! I agree with YukonXL04. Yellow wire is constant. You need to connect the remote wire to the blue wire. Probably labels as remote or power antenna or something like that. And you said everything was wired correctly!!! lol Just kidding. Glad you got it working. I would not advise in...

    Subs still not working

My old Sony head unit used to make that same noise when I turned my car off. It was just letting me know it was off I guess. If I were you I would double check the ground. If it is not obvious enough, scrape away any paint or whatever at you point of contact. Also, put that volt meter on your...

    Subs still not working

If you had the fuse in when you connected everything, it could have sparked a little bit and caused it.

    Rusty trusty

I used to work at a junk yard cutting cars. I do not know how hard it would be to make your own replacement pieces, but you can probably buy them from a junk yard. You can have them cut from the A pillar all the way to the back and then cut what you need from that. Might be easier than trying to...

    Subs still not working

Do you have an AUX cord for your phone? Headphone jack on one end and RCAs on the other? If so, try plugging that into your amp so that you are getting the audio signal only from you phone. What model amp and Head unit do you have?

    Subs still not working

Not to doubt you o anything, but is the amp getting power for sure?

Aftermarket head unit? You may have an option to turn the sub on and off on there if you do.
