2021 Gas Tahoe and Suburban MPG and Towing Specs

I mean that's great what real world fuel economy you're able to achieve but still the figures are 3 mpg less than the previous gen? Who does that? Going back to 2005 apparently.

2021 Gas Tahoe and Suburban MPG and Towing Specs

My 18 RWD 5.3 Suburban window sticker says 16 and 23. So the new ones will get 3 mpg highway less than mine? That's a disgrace right there.

Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, better ride????

This new gen has a new "improved" gen of MRC so hopefully they got it more dialed in. The Premier has MRC, the High Country has air+MRC. Denali has MRC and optional air+MRC is my understanding. Yeah I HATE the way our 18 burb Premier rides. Everyone that gets in it comments on how shitty it...

Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, better ride????

Yeah the Ram and GC is an air bladder with a traditional shock inside of it. The new air suspension on these will have a MRC shock in it. Similar to luxury brands.

    Future 2020/21 Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban

Both center stacks look very Range Rover. Ripoff say what I still like it though. Much better than the cartoonish mess in the current gen.

Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, better ride????

Eh not quite. The Ram and Grand Cherokee both have air suspensions but they aren't adaptive. This new option is, somewhat similar to Volvo and Land Rover. Should be interesting. Regular MRC is still available as well but I'm curious if it will still feel like a Mexican hay wagon like the current...

    Tahoe 1 Explorer 0

Yeah I think OP is bragging about outrunning a base 4cycl explorer. Nobody knows I guess, pointless. But hey I can outrun a moped with my burb (w/tow pkg). I think it's super impressive considering its completely gutless and shakes and vibrates periodically upon acceleration.

Do the 2018 models have the booming/buffeting/vibration issues?

My 2018 burb has a vibration above 72mph. Told the dealer, they said they can't bother with it about 65. Hah okkkk The burb also vibrates when accelerating aggressively after it shifts into second gear. It feels like it's coming from the rear end. My 2017 was fine. This 2018 is a bucket of shit.

    Driver door opening sound

The compression comes on after you start it. The sound when you open the door is the fuel pump. My BMW does it too only louder and longer. It's a new feature for the 2017 Silverado so I'm assuming that's when the SUVs got it too since that's when they got active grill shutters.

    Help me find this noise

We did. The new 2018 didnt. But the used 2017 did but on the passenger side.

    Help me find this noise

2018 Suburban Premier Under acceleration I have a hissing with clatter noise that comes from the driver's left knee area somewhere within the dash. Sometimes it's not there for a sec, then it appears. It's EXTREMELY ANNOYING. Passengers will even comment on it like "what the heck is that...

    Smoother Denali ride??

Going from 55% to 45% isn’t going to make a huge difference. You’re definitely not going to feel much more. I’ve driven both and they felt the same. I’m running 35psi cold too. But I’m on the stock highway tire. Idk about AT tires...

    Smoother Denali ride??

Yes. There’s still enough sidewall that 2” would not make that big of a difference. And there have been suspension tweaks since 15. Have you checked your psi?

    Smoother Denali ride??

MRC feels like it has a stiff shock and soft spring. It’s jittery yet floppy at the same time. It’s a very messy feeling ride.

    Smoother Denali ride??

Leveling kit only makes the front feel more brittle and jittery. Bigger tires aren’t going to do much especially if you go for AT. The only thing you can really do is disable MRC and replace with a quality shock. Or get a quality highway tire.

    Future 2020/21 Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban

If you’re “going to be fair” compare the same trim levels, as there are suspension differences. You compared the base suspensions to the burbs LTZ w/rear load level. I feel like a GM did a good job of making LED tails look cheap. You wouldn’t guess that within the housing there’s LEDs. On the...

How many of you DO NOT experience buffetting and vibration problem?

those aren’t the same that’s on my Premier with 22s so maybe they aren’t OEM. I’m not sure what they all come with though!

How many of you DO NOT experience buffetting and vibration problem?

Hopefully they can get it all fixed up! I think it’s fixable with different tires. I wonder what kind are on it.

How many of you DO NOT experience buffetting and vibration problem?

As much as you’re on here, you should know that there’s not! Haha jk I’m no expert since I haven’t ever had this issue with either of mine but from what I do know is it could be tires. Something like Michelin and road force balance seems to help. Next is something mechanical related to the...
