    Random 4x4 switch

    There will be a code stored in the transfer case segment. More than likely it is encoder circuit code. You either replace the whole shift motor, expensive option. Or you can take the it out, take it apart and swap the encoder ring. $100 part, Dorman makes one. Dealer didn't list it separately...

    Auto ride again

    I didn't swap the coils and and used the rcx kit for non z71. Had a 1" coil spacer and key's. Sure it didn't sit as high but still deleted the autoride and replaced with rough country shocks and disabled the system. Before the lift, with disabled Autoride and cheap Monroe shocks...

    They say they don't work with the autoride is because of the autoride. Just use factory shocks for a non autoride. Disable the Autoride (disconnect battery, pull the "rtd" fuse in the under hood fuse panel, connect the battery.) Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    2004 tahoe 7in install

    might have to trim the bracing behind the radio, it all depends on how much depth the radio has. im assuming its just a Double din radio. I fit a 6.5" screen double din in my 04 no problems. Just use the proper dash kit and minor trimming, you will be fine.

    Replaced the encoder ring in the t-case shift motor since the service 4wd message came on today during lunch with an encoder circuit code.     it presses out the other direction. That is the top of the ball-joint. They press up from the bottom.

    When you had the battery disconnected did you pull the fuse labeled RTD in the unerhood box? I dont know what year yours is for sure. but on my 02 autoride disabled this way.
