On one set they were like pictured. The first set I did are the picture of the ones on the truck. They were painted on. I had to removed the metal cover from the plastic pieces and used aircraft remover, and dt-10 acrylic thinner to remove the paint. Be careful the metal is thin and can dent...

Knock or Thump in Steering Wheel when turning

Not for sure on newer models but all the 96-06 and I have seen a few on the 07+ truck models have an issue with the intermediate shaft u joints. These are just the models I've seen since I work on Hondas all day. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Strip the center caps... And yes I know they aren't the same wheel. But center caps are the same. I've had both wheels a couple different times. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    HELP! 2003 Escalade AC Problem

The harbor freight manifold gauge set is pretty cheap and works well. That's what I used for years until I went to a company with an actual a/c machine. For a vacuum pump I just had a matco vacuum pump with a couple adapters to make the a/c fitting work. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

    HELP! 2003 Escalade AC Problem

I'd say so. Put a vacuum on the system, make sure it can hold the vacuum for at least 15 min before you go and try to recharge the system. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Trying to sell my 2003 Denali, not easy.

I just sold my 06 Silverado crew cab with 204k miles and only issue it had was the windshield has a couple chips and a small crack on the lower drivers corner of windshield. Didn't get anywhere close to what it's worth almost half retail, barely got rough trade value. Ended up selling for $8k...

    HELP! 2003 Escalade AC Problem

If you aren't evacuating the whole system and putting a vacuum on it before charging it up you may have trapped air inside. Only thing you can do to check for a blockage is evacuate the system and unbolt the evaporator lines and blow air through. Should flow through easily. Sent from my...

    Oil gauge has no reading

More than likely it's a stepper motor in the cluster since the pressure switch has been replaced. I would look at the data on a scan tool to see if it's showing pressure before jumping into the cluster. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Be careful with the ltz's. I had a set start cracking with at the most 7k on them. Just got cooper to replace them under warranty. I went back with the at3. There is a recall opened for the ltz's for this issue. Just so you are aware. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

any tips on changin the #8 spark plug???

Seriously with all the fender liner pulling? I just use a 1" extension and a short spark plug socket on a swivel head ratchet. Easy peasy after pulling the wire off. That's the only PITA i encountered.
