I was thinking this also. I had just watched a video on this exact thing as I've been going down the rabbit hole. Seems very straight forward, maybe it's something you could try to tackle yourself?
Perimeter lighting options.
Seems like fun but more time and money than its worth for making the puddle lights work. Hard wire it is. Thanks though bud!
Got a Tech2 question if anyone knows off the top...
I have some missing DIC options, is this something I can activate simply with the Tech2 or do I need to do some programming? Do I need AcDelco TDS/SPS2?
Finally got the VCX Nano up and running. Going to do the proper brake bleeding procedure soon. What an awesome tool.
Did a bit of messing with the mirrors as well. Turns out I was able to test the puddle lights and actually activate them with the Tech2 software without touching any wiring...
I would grab a multimeter or test light and start with checking for a signal at the BCM. For a 2014 (should be the same) reverse is a Dark Blue wire, white plug, pin 22. Brake wire is Light Blue/White wire, brown plug, pin 6.
You could look into the flasher situation like @mikez71 said as...
haha no thats the battery cutoff switch. Since it sits so long, it's easier for me to flip a switch rather than keep disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.
Installed a battery cut-off on the 'ol beater today. This truck has been driven maybe 3 or 4 times in the past two years, but I just can't bring myself to let er go.
So after all the brake work, the pedal is still way too soft. I think even after all the bleeding I did I still have air trapped somewhere. I ordered a VXDIAG VCX Nano and a pressure bleeder and I'm going to do the proper bleeding procedure hopefully once and for all when everything arrives.
