    PPV??? SSV??

So, I was told by the previous owner and Hendrick Chevy that I have a 4x4 tow package PPV. Apparently, according to the dealership, Chevy did in fact make PPV models with those options. I was under the impression that 4x4 was automatically SSV. Not that it makes a big difference to me, but im...

    Gear swap

    Oh, it's originally a 3.43

    Gear swap

Yup, PPV.... like I said, Hendrick Chevy looked up the VIN to make sure I had the correct build sheets. We all kinda scratched our heads on that one. I read up on hypermilling when doing my research, but I can't tell you how helpful you're being walking me step by step. I won't be harsh on her...

    Gear swap

Here's the thing, I have the build sheet and eventhough it's 4wd with tow package, it's a ppv trim. I know they're typically not, but this one is apparently a special build for Texas Dept Homeland Security... even Hendrick Chevy here looked up the VIN to confirm it when I first bought it. Ok...

    Gear swap

Howdy y'all, happy Saturday! Planning on doing an upgrade to 3.73 in my 2012 ppv 4x4. Question for the wise masses... first, obviously any heads up on what anyone has purchased or recommend on who to go through. Secondly, I believe there is a 300 mile break in period (recommended) before...

    Tow behind braking system

I went with the Tekonsha P3 from etrailer... good reviews and pretty straight forward installation. The video they used was on a 2011 Tahoe, so should be identical

    Tow behind braking system

Thanks, I didn't even realize I was on the wrong thread... I actually was on etrailer yesterday and watched the video, super easy and after a little research went with the Tekonsha P3.

    Tow behind braking system

I probably should have given more details, my ppv is a 2012, all deletes done, with tow package... camper is Rockwood Roo, 5200lbs. I've towed it 4 or 5 times now, but only short 25-30 minute trips. Trans temp hovers around 220° uphills. It's the downhill I could use a little help on.....

    Tow behind braking system

Howdy all... we've upgraded from a pop up to a tow behind camper and I'm looking to add the trailer braking system. I've found the two connections for the fuse box posts, and the bundled harness under the dash, so it appears it's good to go. Has anyone installed one, and recommendations...

    2012 PPV, new to forum

Howdy Desertfox... when I got the 70r/17's put on, both the mechanic and I check the suspension and it all looked good, except the struts/shocks which are the originals and worn. I'm on the fence between OEM Monroe or the Bell Tech 752sp kit, although I do want to lower the stance by 1"...

    2012 PPV, new to forum

Only been there once, my buddy took me to a BBQ place... this was years ago, not sure if it's even still there. Pig something BBQ, I can't exactly remember the name of it. Nice area though!

    2012 PPV, new to forum

Hey there Miami... thanks, I definitely got lucky on this one. She had 152k when I picked her up in Oct, riding at 155k now. Just had the delete completed and tuned, she's pushing 265hp at the wheels now. Also, I had the shop switch out the flex fuel and am running 93 in it. Whereabouts in...

    2012 PPV, new to forum

Thank you! She's a DHS out of Texas... Hendrick Chevy did the bumper to bumper when I bought it, and the mechanic tried to buy it off of me on site... She's in great condition!

    2012 PPV, new to forum

Marky, I was thinking of lowering the rear stance by 1", and using Belltech 752sp kit for the front coils and shocks/struts. Since I put the Defenders on, I definitely feel the wear in the suspension. Luckily all the other components (arms, bearings, joints ect) are all in good shape. I...

    2012 PPV, new to forum

Hey Marky, they're the 265/70/17 MS2 defenders. Definitely a noticeable improvement already from the old 265/60/17's that were on it, but the shocks/struts are originals and are due to get changed out.

    2012 PPV, new to forum

Howdy all, First off, glad to be here. I've been reading and following threads since Oct 24 when I got my Tahoe. Since then I've learned a lot and have a few questions still. Since purchased, I've done all fluids/filters, f/r diffs and transfer, oil and tranny cooling lines, x4 Mich defenders...
