    installed and adjusted rockers primed the oiling system with just a ratchet and got it up to the head and through the push rods

    as the title said. i am still not 100% sure if i want to go carb as i have been given access to some one with HPT. but if i do i would like to use a jumper harness for the MPFI (going external injectors and rails do to the intake i already have) and i do not want to chop up the stock harness...

    so got the cam bearings installed and scored a crank out of a boat that was not winter stored correctly only had 79 hours rotates nice and smooth. need to readjust the stand so i can install the cam core plug and rear main seal

    took the cam out and made the mistake of having my eyes open normally i would just run it but this engine had oiling issues it did not damage the cam at all but the bearings are flaking down to the copper... i hate cam bearings LOL

    that actually was nto carbon but just oily dirt and dust from sitting in my garage for 11 years. i will try and find some pictures form back when i first got it

    so started tearing down a 98 350 vortec i got 8-ish years ago from a suburban that spun a rod. only had 50k on it when it happened only thing i found was the pick up full of bearing so not sure what caused the loss of oil to the rods. got new oil pump and will clean out all the gallies traded...

    the sheet metal is rough but $400. going to get the starter hooked back up and just crank it over and see what the engine sounds like already have a L31 core i will be rebuilding using 2 rods from a 305 i also have laying around and trading the 305 crank to a roundy round racer for a stock l31...

    my tahoe is a 95 the transition year so TBI but the rounded interior every thing i look up says it should have a start relay... i have not found said start relay. so is it wired like a 88-94 where it just sends the ignition switch wire right to the S terminal on the starter? fighting a no...

    not any time soon as i have a vortec 350 with a bad crank i was going to steal the heads and rollery cam parts off of for the TBI 350 just because i do not want to mess with OBD1 it will get a carb and HEI if i do the swap so when the 4l60 goes out i can use any year and an aftermarket...

    yup i have had a brand new rotor just fall a part less then a year. now i have gotten into the habit of checking new parts first just do to the recent quality hit even on GM parts

    new brake lines came in and decided to just get a new bypass valve as rock auto has actual GM ones figure the old one lasted 28 years for the hoses i am just going to cut the metal crimps off and just hose and clamp new lines
