    Dunno if this is the right place but dayum... went to smog the tahoe today and technician found a coolant leak. Kudos to him and hooking me up with a gal of coolant but, again, datum. I think i did this before and it was like a fifteen dollar part.

    Right about 200k. I'm second owner but the internals looked original (especially those poor 3-4 pack frictions). Was definitely a fun learning experience.

    Parts were i think just around 1000 but I had some broken bits to contend with. Tools, kinda depends on what you have already. I suppose. Also, make fiends with the local transmission shop guys. Can be a real life saver

    Running smooth like butter. Ironically though, before work, I noticed leaking at and found a freshly worn pinhole leak on one of the tranny cooler lines. I had already cut out the old hose fittings though so wasn't too bad. Already had the flare tool out lmao

    @NickTransmissions I think you were dead on with the bearing. Could I have put the correct one somewhere else on accident, or is it just a case of year selective incompatibility? EDIT: i need the newer style bearing, the kit had the older one. Should I just wait for a new one and get it ordered?

    Later thought I had was to maybe take off. 015-.030 off the spring retainers to expose that spring just a hair. Feasible?
