what lift kit is best for the money?

Ok so it seems the kits are about equal in quality. How do they rate in price and reliability? Anything you are unhappy with about your lifts?

what lift kit is best for the money?

Ok I think I've made the decision to lift my yukon. I like the look of the six inch lift with larger wheels instead of enormous tires. My question is, which 6 inch lift kit is best? I've seen alot of them but can't decide and the prices seem to vary alot. I actually offroad alot, but need a...

    what to do next?

Well I've been running my 35's with keys, spacers, 5100 bilsteins and airbags for almost a year..it's not making me happy anymore. I can't decide to lift higher and get a bit of a wild wheel and tire combo or to just even it out in a set of nice 20's. I use the rig for commuting to work lately...

Door Locks inop when shifting to park or drive.

after an hour or so searching and finding nothing helpful, i figured i would just ask a question.... I have an 04 yukon 4x4 that the door lock auto feature stopped working on. When you shift into gear the doors are supposed to lock.......when you shift to park, they are supposed to...

The day the Yukon almost drowned.

thats exactly what happened, hood went under in the nasty muddy water, pucker factor went to about 18 I have a K&N open FIPK, so it was a close call for sure. I probably would have faired a bit better with a closed box... oh well the yukon and me are comming back to the US here in a month, so...

The day the Yukon almost drowned.

So, it hardly ever rains in the aussie outback, but when it does... man its bad. Considering most of the roads out here are dirt, it makes things interesting. I took a trip to blow off this cabin fever after being rained in for a week. I went to check out some meteor craters just outside of...

    2" OR 3" rear spacers

I have the standard superlift Keys, and 1.5 inch spacers in the rear. I also run "airlift" airbags inside the springs, those give extra lift in the rear to level everything out while loaded.... hell even unloaded 10 Psi in there makes the ride effin sweet and the whole kit was only 70 bucks and...

INstalled Rough Country Leveling Lift Kit

nice chris. Now do me a favor. Drive over a speed bump a few times, and tell me how it feels. I think my shocks were too short, so it seems the front end dives too far before the suspension is absorbing the weight of the truck.

    Rear Storage Drawers finally finished.

Sure, i have plans and so forth. I didnt take a ton of pics, but if you like i can put up pics of some of the finer details. All in all, its a simple build, and our trucks have tie down points in the back that can be used to bolt the drawers to the floor without having to do any type of...

    Rear Storage Drawers finally finished.

Thanks, i appreciate it. ---------- Post added at 07:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:24 PM ---------- I beleive it was a WAAG guard. Its fairly decent quality, tho if i had it my way, i would be doing a solid steel rear bumper with tire carrier. Its good enough to take the abuse...

Lifting My 2001 GMC Yukon SLT

ahh my mis-read. I have the stock 3.73 setup, i dont know what you guys are talking about with gear changing. My yukon drives about the same as it ever has with the 285's on it and i never drive faster than 80mph so i can only speak from the standard driving range pov.

Lifting My 2001 GMC Yukon SLT

Yeah, double what he said. I actually take my yukon offroad daily and these things break parts easily if you dont do it right the first time.... almost like it rejects poor quality stuff.. Also, do you have a v8? if so, dont underestimate the power of it, its got alot of grunt and can...
