1) - I have this on order. Will replace in a couple days.
2) - Already have a new filter
3) - Perhaps. These Yukons didn't come with filter from the factory. It has to be added in with a kit. I get quite a lot of air blowing through, so maybe not this.
4) - This fan blows good!
I had the system...
I did a 1.5 hour test with highway driving. I can get it to start to ice up if I put it on the coldest setting and lowest blower setting, which is dumb.
I'll stop by the shop again to see if I'm losing pressure.
I ran it super cold for a long time and it froze over to the point of no air blowing.
I stopped by a shop. Found it was low. The system was flushed? and dye was added. No leaks yet defected. They said a clogged orifice or bad switch were common problems too.
It works fine now but I'll be...
Its been *just* warm enough here (mid 70's) to use the AC. I'm seeing frost on the AC (condenser?). Is this normal? I know NOTHING about AC systems.
The AC blows DAMN cold!
I'm taking a long road trip soon and don't want the AC to fail.
I changed the front diff, rear diff and xfer fluids. Everything looked normal.
I'm driving from VA to MT and back. Gotta make sure all is well! What's your over/under on a trouble free trip? ;-)
I replaced the plugs. The passenger rear wasn't as bad as people say. Just have an assortment of extensions and go from underneath a little.
My friend says the old ones were recently put in. At least I have peace of mind!
I also installed new 118db horns. Hella Supertones.
I have a set...
Engine and trans tuned. Stock VE table updated. MAF tuned, timing adjusted, fuel leaned out a little. Trans also tuned. I paid for help on this since the GMT900s are much more complex. When I learn more I'll do the tuning on my own.
The trans shifts fast and hard. There is now very little...
No DOD but yes VVT.
Added garage insulation, aww yeah.
Both tensioners and idler pulley had toasted bearings. Like bad noises when spinning by hand. The new parts are sooooo smooth.
New parts installed with the already new belts.
Errrrr thing sounds great now.
Btw, who the fuck designed...
Does this sound normal? I'm only familiar with my old 5.3. Sounds strange to me. Kinda clunk clunk clunk noise? I take brain meds for OCD so maybe its that.
I've been stopping myself from big projects on the Yukon until after winter. I learned my lesson last year.
I got some interior bits. New ac controls, plug, and a new sun visor latch.
Seal that shit with something like Klasse. That chrome will peel if you get salt on it. Hell, it will peel if you look at it sideways!!!
The 20s I just replaced on my 08 Yukon Denali:
