New Tires and Now Service Stabilitrack and ABS - SOLVED

No problem with your ECU or tire size. Next thing to look at would be the live data coming from that sensor which most basic OBD2 readers should be able to tell you if they support live data. What I expect for you to see is that sensor is reading intermittently or not reading at all. The code...

Is this the sound of rod knock?

I don’t know if this has been said yet but the starter can go bad allowing the starter gear to make contact with the flywheel when the motor is running making all kinds of sounds

    2013 Chevy Tahoe Whining Noise?

I had a 96 Tahoe that would do that, I inspected the rear diff multiple times and put fresh fluid in it and I could never get to the bottom of it. Didn’t seem to affect anything in my case

    Spindle lift info needed

Worse case scenario you could just swap in some cast lower control arms so that they fit into the lift spindle

Misfire cylinder 4 & 6 deactivation solenoid circuit

That’s good to know it was running well until recently. It could be a simple fix. I’d inspect the ignition coil and grounds like mentioned earlier

Is there such a thing as rear coil spring clocking for GMT900's?

My 2 cents here.. If the spring is symmetrically shaped it really doesn't matter. I've had my 81069 springs out of my Tahoe enough times (changing ride height with lift pucks) that I think I would have noticed something by now but they just seem to go in there any way that fits just fine. Both...

Misfire cylinder 4 & 6 deactivation solenoid circuit

I am pretty sure that that motor should run just fine with that DOD cover plugged in on the side there WITHOUT the range disabler plugged in. But it sounds like some of the AFM related electricals are damaged so I would proceed with getting a proper AFM delete tune with the expectation that...

    2007 Yukon 6.2 stalls/won’t start when hot

@Campie The part number I have for the negative battery cable is: 22846471 It’s distinguished by its electrical connector and 3 connections: battery, front of passenger head, under the radiator support frame are

6L80 "rebuilt" now nothing but problems

So you had a perfectly running Tahoe and went for a trans rebuild and they ruined everything about it? This story sounds worse than most nightmares I have.

New Tires and Now Service Stabilitrack and ABS - SOLVED

@gmartin1215 I found a thread here and it suggests the issue isn't with the sensor necessarily but with the connector itself. It seems possible that when the new wheels were being installed that the wire could have been damages when the wheel was thrown up to install it. Didn't find any definite...

New Tires and Now Service Stabilitrack and ABS - SOLVED

Changing tire sizes shouldn't cause this so I would focus on the code you got and look in that area

    Transmission issues... lots of questions

@tkdgirl The engine computer is separate from the transmission computer so I don't think there should be a problem in that regard but if you did flash the transmission back to stock tune and the problem persisted that would mean the problem isn't related to the tune

    Transmission issues... lots of questions

@tkdgirl If you suspect the tune why not revert it back to stock tune and see if the problem persists

    2007 Yukon 6.2 stalls/won’t start when hot

@Campie I can't think of anything that would cause it to not start once it's hot but when I experienced cranking without ignition was after a rebuild, I didn't have the negative battery cable tightened all the way down to the front of the passenger side head. After I tightened that it fired...

2010 LT 5.3 V8 Flex Dying Randomly HELP!!

@LTHoe52 I think so, doing the test I suggested will help us pinpoint if the problem is fixed by discharging the electrical system or if adjusting the negative battery cable is enough to get it going. Depending on what your results are it could just be a bad battery cable or it could be...

2010 LT 5.3 V8 Flex Dying Randomly HELP!!

@LTHoe52 Since you mentioned that popping the negative battery cable off fixed the problem I am pretty certain the negative battery cable is your problem. They are known to go break internally in these tahoes and the 2015-2020 tahoes. Next time it happens, instead of removing the negative...

    alignment specs for lift?

@Charlie207 That isn't a crazy amount so any shop should be able to do it. All they need to do is run the factory spec which just specifies what angles the tires should be contacting the road

    Low speed ABS activation?

holding down the button to disable traction control and stabilitrac seemed to help but that means I’m just avoiding the issue. I guess I’ll dig in and read the wheel speed data

    Low speed ABS activation?

It’s a 2wd Tahoe now and I replaced the hubs about 6 months ago with timken units. I dont remember if the ABS light was on but it sounded like the brake was engaging at rapidly when I was going around the turn. It seems to be turns onto uneven ground. I guess it's worth looking at the wheel...

    Low speed ABS activation?

I have this thing happening and I couldn't figure out what it was until the other day I felt some feedback through my brake pedal and that kind of clued me into what is happening, but I am not sure why. Basically, when I make a tight turn at low speed like when turning onto another road it...

    Shock length. Spacer or not?

Based on your description I can't tell if you should run them but when I used a rear spring spacer with 81069 rear springs (a little taller) my bilstein 5100 shocks suffered until I put that kit on and then after that it made a huge difference because of that. You are on the right track. Things...

Oil leak from Oil Pan and Oil Pressure Relief Valve

With that amount of oil it should be easy to see where its coming from. Going bottom to top there is the oil pan gasket, I think there is a plug in the side of the block for an optional knock sensor or oil (this might be under the exhaust manifold making it hard to see), might be an oil level...

    Brake mystery

@Juamgv It seems like a long shot but maybe you unplugged a wheel speed sensor on accident. I would go reseat all 4 to be sure

    Brake mystery

I know this because even with the calipers on the correct side they can be a pain to bleed
  25. Dustin Jackson

    Brake mystery

@Juamgv I'd say you still have air in your lines, it can be hard to bleed it all out. Did you install the new calipers with the bleeder zerk on top? Sometimes people get them on the wrong side making it so they don't bleed properly
