2002 Yukon XL / AC always on

Recirc is off. I have not tried to see how it behaves with the button off, and Auto off. But a manual setting is only really a fan speed. - The temp is a value - if not at max, and I don't think it is a Blend door issue. I will try and let you know. I do need a scanner that does body...

    what‘s wrong with my AC

With Rear A/C - 2.7 lbs ( 43 oz ). The XL just took 3.0 lbs ( 48 oz ). I know it has a slow leak, but I needed to get it filled to get a baseline. It's very nice to have it working

2002 Yukon XL / AC always on

So, I got this guy in April of 2023 - AC never worked right. With all this current heat, I decided to charge it. I get it charged, and it works. It works ok, but I noticed that if I press the A/C button, and the yellow light goes out, I still have cold air coming out. This is the Automatic...

2002 Yukon XL 2500 Ignition Switch Question

I plan on getting a OE part - and having it keyed. Technically, I have 2 keys now. The Doors and rear hatch / gate are all one key ( I rely on the remote ) - the original key code - I had one made. the Spare tire access lock is missing, so that gets replaced. Thx for the info.

2002 Yukon XL 2500 Ignition Switch Question

The 2002 2500 Yukon XL ( SLT, 6.0 ) has an aftermarket replacement ignition switch. I want to go back to an OE GM switch. The current one does not have the ears on the switch. Does anyone know if there is a difference in the two designs? I prefer to get one with the ears ( the 01 1500 XL had...

    Looking for thicker OEM Sway-bars

+1 - I am not a fan of drilling holes in swaybars. Plan is to figure out a safe upgrade for a rear bar on the 2500 XL, and then determine how much larger in front if possible.

    K2xx alternator upgrade on GMT800

Glad that worked out. On the 02 2500 6.0, I had the original die. I got a new one from Amazon - put the year, model etc in, and it looks right. But.... the holes are about 1/2 inch further apart than the original, and the B+ Stud in the back is an M8 - bigger than the oirignal - and in a...

    Fuel pump pressure

Fuel Pressure, and does the pump run are two different things. I would get about 100K per pump in the 01 1500. Pressure means you start easily, but if the pump is getting old, and decides to stop pumping, you can stall. I would do the pump for sure at 255K - it may solve other crimes as well...

07+ Brake upgrade on a 00-06 NBS, is it worth it?

Rim size is fine - you need 17. I did this back in 2011 to a 2001 1500 Yukon XL - Police package calipers for a T900 and T900 Rotors - good upgrade - I used SS Flex lines, but I remember it was from a T800 Kit.

you should be able to see the dampness / look at the frame too. I did braided stainless on my 01 1500 XL 5.3 - it was a good product. This 02 2500 XL has new hard lines - I did not do them

Brake Fluid leak due to low temps?

you lose that much brake fluid - which is what it looks like - and your reservoir should be empty. if it is full. then it is not bnake fluid. sniff the cap, and sniff what is on the floor - compare. It's not the cold - something failed or rusted.
