    Motor Trend large suv comparison

MT = Motor Trend as the thread title suggests. Though Motorweek picking the worst car in America currently for sale for 2026 is interesting, lol.

    Motor Trend large suv comparison

Didn't look like a Denali Ultimate to me - no speakers in the headrests. This MT is the first review I've seen out of very many that likes the Ford haptic steering wheel controls, everyone else hates them. At the end of the day, everyone will buy what makes most sense to them. I like the...

    Show us your 4th GEN

Not a 4th gen, but here is my 1963 Corvette GrandSport by Mongoose Motorsports as well. I may end up putting this one up for sale, but it's the rawest experience you can have in a car that is "kinda" road legal.

    Show us your 4th GEN

Okay video time - admittedly, my 99 has been the longest build on a stock bottom end LS1 in all history, so feel free to roast me as I still have it "under construction". Here is the last video I made of it, when I was having issues with the cam sensor not getting signal to the ECU. At least...

Since I posted the 99's engine bay, here is the Golen 383 in the 94 Z28. I would like to properly polish the intake plenum, but we all know how fun that is on 4th gens to work halfway under the cowl!

Engine bay shot of the 99 prior to changing the head/cam setup for the second time. And yes, I've ditched the MSDs for the 6.0l truck coils lol.

The Kooks true duals are awesome, but without adding a resonator behind the X pipe, they are loud. I don't mind too much, but if I ever take the car on a long road trip, I will add resonators. Other than that, the sound is so much better than any Y pipe setup. All my suspension is UMI - and...

A couple more of the 94 - I spent a bunch of time last year correcting the paint, graphene coating it, replacing the missing red bowtie in the grill area, and replacing the center caps on the wheels with red bowties also. I need to sell these wheels as they are C4 offsets, and get the proper...

    Show us your 4th GEN

After getting sidetracked in @pwtr02ss's thread - thought it would be great to see who else has 4th gens here! I have a couple at the moment: 1999 Camaro SS (Owned since 2000) - Basic H/C, exhaust, suspension, Wilwood brakes, M6, etc. 1994 Z28 - Golen 383, M6 - also has built suspension...

Awesome build on your SS - and ON TOPIC, love to see the jon as landed!

Yeah different guys entirely, but what a cool experience you've had with Tom and Dick - very jealous, and I would do bad things for the Guldstrand GS90! https://mongoosemotorsports.com/

    Pwtr02ss home build

Mongoose Motorsports built GM licensed replica 1963 Corvette GrandSports for a number of years before Gary passed away. His wife Trish has kept the company going, thought the GrandSport side doesn't get a lot of their support anymore sadly. It's a great way to experience a 60's racing Corvette...

Great thread, awesome property and a fellow 4th gen owner too - fantastic! Love the curved driveway, have a similar setup on 10 acres, and so nice to break the sight lines with a curve and not some dumb straight drive :p

    LZ0 Article & Video - Durability Issues

As someone who owned 2 L86 (still have one) 6.2s - which are known for lifter failure...maintenance is key, including "out oil"ing the GM recommendations. For 6.2s AFM/DFM is a lifter killer, and for both 6.2 and the 3.0l the oil change intervals are too long - all the oil sampling found online...

    LZ0 Article & Video - Durability Issues

I would drop the first oil by 1000 miles - and according the The Motor Oil Geek sampling on YouTube, it's imperative to prevent early engine failures. FTR - I did change the oil on our 26 Yukon LZO at 1000 miles.

    AutoStop Eliminator

Still happy we added the autostop, never have to think of it, and never have to worry about the turbo sitting at max temp at a stoplight with no oil flow. Thanks - I'm a big 4th gen guy, have owned my 99 since it had 3200kms when I bought it in the summer of 2000. Manual is the only way to go...

9 Months on lot -- too long ?

I wouldn't worry, that's a significant savings, and it comes with new warranty to give you peace of mind. Jump on a good deal, in my opinion. We recently bought our Yukon AT4 diesel, and there weren't many left across Canada to choose from. We ended up buying one that had way more options...

    AutoStop Eliminator

No rattles on ours - as another poster said, you can add zip-ties to the wiring to prevent any rattle issues.

Duramax Delete System: Pros, Cons, and Legality Questions

I would love to do this delete early, but unless my local dealer will honor the factory warranty with it deleted, I will likely just wait until the warranty period is over (unless it's a constant source of issue - then I will just delete immediately).

    AutoStop Eliminator

Another AutoStop Disabler user here - installed ours immediately after purchasing our AT4 new. Install was fairly easy, and pictures helped with the trim panel removal. So glad we never have to hit the button again!

    26 Yukon AT4

If you meant for ours - PPF first, then I graphene coated it (like ceramic, just a new tech similar to ceramic coatings). PPF was installed on front and 1/3 way up fenders and hood, mirrors, A pillars, and roof up to sunroof line. I'm going to PPF the entire lower section of the doors as well...

    26 Yukon AT4

First picture at home, but got all the coating completed, including glass, wheels, the power boards, and even the mud guards. Tinting side windows and going to get those smoked front marker lights as well - looks great on yours!

    26 Yukon AT4

New to this forum, but wanted to say congrats on your Yukon - nearly a twin to the one we just picked up for my wife! We will be tinting and doing some debadging as well, love the black out package for these, don't miss all the chrome on our 2017 Yukon Denali at all. We drove ours 3 hours...
