What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I actually drove it this past weekend. Ever since I got a new job a few months ago with a take home work van, I have not really been driving my Burban very much. When I am off on the weekends, I usually take the wife's Traverse because we will usually be going somewhere TOGETHER. But this...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I haven't really cared for a backup camera either, until I started driving a cargo van for work. I have no rear visibility at all, so I need the camera and the side mirrors when backing that thing up. But my Suburban, I've been driving that thing for the past 20 years now with no backup...

Gibson cat back or Magnaflow muffler?

Yep, for anyone doing an E-fan swap, an OEM harness is the only way to go. Just ask ANYONE who has purchased an aftermarket harness, they ALL have some sort of melting burning or overheating issue with it at some point. Then they reach out to me and buy an OEM harness. Luckily @Xing_Gateway has...

Where to get C-clips for rear glass hinges?

I lost one of mine as well. I bought a kit from Harbor Freight that has a bunch of different sized "E"- clips. I found one that fit, and clipped it on.

California Mods Questions... E-Fans and Tune?

Yeah, I have sold quite a few refurbished OEM fan harnesses on here, and a few other forums too. I tried selling them on Ebay, but they pretty much **** you with the exorbitant transaction fees that they charge. I mostly just sell by word of mouth now. I can't think of ONE single person who has...

OEM GMT800/NBS Electric Fan Harnesses For Sale

Yes. The harness has two trigger wires. One is the temperature controlled trigger wire which is tied into the computer. It triggers the both fans to come on at low speed when the computer sees the coolant temperature rise above a certain threshold. Most tuners have it set somewhere between 205...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

My Suburban is 24 years old now also. Well. actually it's 25 years old now. It's a 2001 which was sold in 2000 as a 01 model. I purchased it used in January 2006 with 52k miles on it and have been driving it ever since. Mine is also Forest Green with tan interior.

    02 Tahoe Electric Fan Conversion

I sell refurbished OEM fan harnesses that I pull from 05 and 06 vehicles in the junkyard. Then I meticulously clean and inspect EVERY inch of the wiring in the harness and fan plugs, and the relay block. I scrub every bit of dirt, grease, and grime that I can. If I see any damage, I make an...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Correct. I have seen FAR worse. I would leave that "leak" as is.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Well, to be honest, seepage is still a leak. Just not a bad leak. If the oil pan gasket is keeping you from a sale, then maybe go ahead and replace it. If it's a 2wd, it's a really easy job. On a 4wd, it's a lot more involved. If you have a 2wd, I'd just go ahead and replace it. If it's a 4wd...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I wonder what year they started that locking tab. On the 99 Silverado that my son had, there was no locking tab. On my 2001 Suburban, there's no locking tab. But I know on every 04-06 NBS truck and SUV that I've seen, there was a locking tab. So I'm guessing they probably started around 2003 or so?

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

That's not 100% accurate. My brother had a 92 Sierra and a 95 Suburban and both had glass headlight housings. So they were glass at least until 1995.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

My OEM lights weren't glass. However, my brother had a few GMT400 trucks and SUV's and those OEM lights WERE glass.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I was just about to say the SAME thing. I swapped my headlights with aftermarket lights, and very quickly realized how flimsy they were. I went and dug my stock stock lights out the trash can and compared the mounting bracket/headlight buckets. The stock headlight buckets are FAR thicker...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Just a "pro-tip" for doing the rear diff gasket. I replaced mine quite a few times and it kept leaking barely a month or two later. After someone on this forum (or it may have been another one that I frequent. I've slept since then, so I cant remember for sure) mentioned that I should try a...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Im the same way when I go to the Pick-N-Pull yard. I go in looking for one specific item, and end up staying there for over 2 hours pulling other random parts that I come across. Most recently, I pulled a towing hitch from a Chevy Traverse and installed it on my wife's Chevy Traverse. Does...

    Koken USA

I've heard of them. I've seen several YouTube videos talking about them. Mr.Subaru on YouTube and TikTok is always talking about them and bragging about how good they are. I've seen a few other "tool guys" brag about them as well. I've looked into them and they aren't exactly affordable in my...

Wheel Bearing Failed, last bolt holding it on..

I would grind the head off the bolt. But I would most likely disconnect the ball joint from the knuckle to give me more room if needed. A reciprocating saw with a good metal cutting blade might be an option as well.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Thats just the going rate in my area. Most shops wants around $3600 to $4500 to R&R and completely rebuild a transmission. I decided to go with this particular shop because I have experience with them and I know they are trustworthy. If O would have driven to a bigger city like Dallas or...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Picked it up from the Transmission shop. Second time having the Transmission rebuilt in this pig. Last time I had it built was in 2012. Maybe I should stop driving it like I stole it. But 12-15 years out of a daily driven 4L60E is pretty good from what I hear.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I am ashamed to admit, I am in the same boat. My rear passenger side regulator started acting up almost a year ago. It had trouble going up and it was making horrible crunching sounds. I finally got it rolled up, and I ordered a new regulator/motor assembly from Rockauto. It's been sitting in...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I parked it, because the transmission will not shift above 30-40mph. I cab actually get it up to almost 70, but only if I rev the engine to like 4500 rpms. I was able to attach least limp it home like that. I am hoping it's not something major. Maybe a shift solenoid or something? It's always...
