    How did you find TahoeYukonForum.com?

Google brought me here while trying to diagnose a cyl 4 misfire which ended up being a bad head gasket. Started a thread which eventually led me to an AFM delete.

Anyone figure an easy way to break the tire bead and swap out the sensors at home? I saw a video of someone taking the wheel off and using the rear rotor by lowering the truck onto the tire. I need new sensors in both my trucks and the tire shop wants like $90 each! ...I hate lights on the dash!

Because the wife needs one! Also having 2 of the same generation helps with troubleshooting issues since I'm familiar with everything.

Yes. I've seen your previous post on the topic and I'll definitely be using them for info while I try to figure it all out. I'm betting my engine tap on it! I own 2 LS's and currently looking for a broken camaro so I should understand it.

And on the opposite end of the spectrum when my Yukon lost a non afm lifter on I believe cyl 3 I just pulled the drivers side head, replaced the lifter trays, swapped the failed lifter with a used one from my Suburban and put it back together with new gaskets and bolts. Also still running great...

I went real mild on mine opposed to what @Geotrash did with his motor. I used the "stock replacement" cam from the LMF and 4.8L non-AFM/VVT engines, GM p/n 12689035. Kept VVT and had to re use the old actuator bolt due to GM backorder and didn't feel comfortable with Doorman.Dropped in Summit...

So my 08 Yukon SLT has AFM turned off from GM? I know it has the components because I've seen them when the head was off. Currently using a Range plug in to keep it from activating. I'm pretty sure I saw it cycling from V4 to V8 on the DIC but gotta verify.

And the one under the interior dash panel on the drivers side. It's been know to fail due to insulation getting under the bolt.

    Torque Converter Bolt help

If you can get a grabber socket on it high heat then hit it with cold water. Do this a couple of times. It's worked for every stuck bolt I've delt with.
