    Front Axle Seals replaced...still leaking

I would look into that. I would think the seal would remain stationary and ride on the axle shaft. Haven't seen one like that but maybe it is a revision. You could call up a local dealer and go into the parts counter and get a look at it.

2012 Yukon Denali AWD driveline bind in turns

It took a few turns in the parking lot to get whatever was binding to release. I replaced the ring and pinion, carrier and pinion bearings, axle tube bearings around 30K ago, the carrier guts looked great..spiders looked perfect. Could the transfer case "lock" and cause this? I'm going to...

2012 Yukon Denali AWD driveline bind in turns

This took me by surprise, was getting fuel today and I felt the distinct 4HI bind in a turn but mine is AWD. Front and rear diffs have about 30K miles on Amsoil 75-90 Severe Duty fluid, transfer case also has 30K on the Valvoline Maxlife ATF. It felt and sounded like the rear tire was skipping...

    Too many possible issues

Check your MAF, make sure the wires/connection is good, no rodents nest in filter box. What services have you done to it prior to this incident? Recent work? Any overheating issues? Check oil dipstick for any light brown residue, trying to rule out head gasket with that. You didn't by...

Instrument cluster lights turn off when map light is turned on

Last night I started it up to find only the IC lights flickering....along with the 3rd one blown now. #17 IS LPS. I will have to recheck the visors. The only thing I have done in the last 3 days was move my LH visor over to block the sun.

Would like to address slightly soft shifts with HPT

After today's drive it again seemed slightly better in terms of shift firmness. I started watching Silver Surfer's vids and have learned alot form those but still want to gather more info before i start tweaking things.

Is this the normal front wheel stance/offset?

Are they your OE wheels or from a different model year/generation? Reason I ask is yes they will bolt up, but a widely varying difference in offsets over the years.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Do they make an A-pillar pod mount for the 1500's? Not saying you should do it but just curious. I would like to have th eneed for a boost gauge.....maybe later though....lol.

Would like to address slightly soft shifts with HPT

I posted this issue on HPT but haven't had any replies yet, but it's still early. Some history so bear with me, I bought this used with about 80K and was very well cared for, Carfax had the trans service done at 50K and I did a 75% fluid change at 100K but no filter change. No issues driving it...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Ok, I guess I was thinking if for some reason I reverted back to the stock tune, that there would be any chance of the lifter getting stuck in the collapsed position. I can see how the oil would sill move throughout the lifter but now sure if any part of that circuit saw little to no oil flow...

Is this the normal front wheel stance/offset?

For the record, I'm gauging how much my wheel/tire sticks out by looking at the top of the fender opening, mine shows the edge of the outer tread block. Are those the OE wheels? Or at least with the 31mm offset? Doesn't look bad, just curious. Those looked tucked in a tad more than mine...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Finally disabled the DOD, even though it has been working fine, I wanted to see how it compares as I can usually tell when it's in V4 mode at cruise based on the pitch change. Really made a difference in overall smoothness, at times I thought it was the road surface or even a tire balance issue...

    Hp tuners, torque management clarity

It seems more audible than trying to follow the tach needle. Again, it could be completely normal, I know my stock tune looks to have a slightly longer 1-2 shift then the rest.

    Hp tuners, torque management clarity

Doesn't look like a ramp up delay after the 1-2, it looks like a delay of engagement into 2nd. Like it reaches desired RPM, holds RPM, then shifts. Again, could be the framerate buffer but the 2-3 looks better.

    Hp tuners, torque management clarity

Nice chirp! It actually looks like a small delay to engage 2nd, like it reached the RPM, and waited...unless the framerate of the video is obscuring the actual shift. Learning alot with this thread, if I had to hazard a guess, and this is based on IF there was a delay, would or could this be...

Instrument cluster lights turn off when map light is turned on

I generally do, with the exception of bulbs for the most part. When I reconnected the visor I had the mirror flap closed but you're right, it's still a live circuit at the pigtail.

Is this the normal front wheel stance/offset?

Ha, sorry...285/45/22. Edit, meant to put 285, not 275.

I replaced the fuse and so far alll seems to be working tonight.

Instrument cluster lights turn off when map light is turned on

Well....I was replacing the bulbs, securing the overhead console, and reinstalling the RH visor. I wanted to double check the resistance to ground after the fuse was replaced to see if anything changed. Now I have 2.... So I'll get a couple fuses, and backtrack my last couple steps. It's...

Is this the normal front wheel stance/offset?

2012 Yukon XL and I bought this used with the dealer upgraded CK916 22" wheels, which have the correct 31MM offset. This hasn't really bothered me too much but I want to get clarification before I get new tires and maybe different wheels. I wanted to try some 18's a while back and those were...

Instrument cluster lights turn off when map light is turned on

Yeah for sure, I ran across all of them with my LED tester and I can only trust I saw it was good, but I even pulled it. Oh for sure...however, it's like a ton of weight on each side of a see saw. The time spent going through so much of the vehicle, grounds, rear interior panels removed, dash...

Instrument cluster lights turn off when map light is turned on

TBH, I'm not 100% sure, but....I have a nice addition to my 3-ring binder of about 25 pages of GMT900 electrical diagrams and a more comprehensive understanding of this electrical system. most or all, of my ground connections are now very clean..... No spoiler alert, but in the...

    Hp tuners, torque management clarity

Awesome, great to hear! This is something I would like to address on mine, it seems that after a WOT 1-2 shift, it feels like it takes a good 2 seconds for it to be pulling hard again. I figured jt was some form of TM but didn't know it had such a lazy ramp up. Was this a very noticeable change?
