Removal & Reinstallation of "Roof Panel Joint Finish Molding" -- Any Advice/Experience?

It’s a trim piece, just for looks to cover the body seam up. Like most trim pieces, it can trap dirt, yes. It has no sealing effect and is unnecessary but the body seam is unsightly so there’s that.

Removal & Reinstallation of "Roof Panel Joint Finish Molding" -- Any Advice/Experience?

I have both model years of my rigs , NBS and NNBS, parked back to back by chance right now. I just looked at them and they look pretty much identical to me. I can see the ends of them also and those look the same so the profile is the same. The top face is barely different but the same basic...

Removal & Reinstallation of "Roof Panel Joint Finish Molding" -- Any Advice/Experience?

What part # are you using and what is your vehicle? My search at gmpartsgiant comes up with 22743309 for my 08 LTZ. This part is available and will fit any of the short body 07-14 GM SUV’s. they’re all the same black rubber.

They should be, with just the different lengths between standard and long body. when I look up the part for my 08 LTZ, it comes up with a different # and its still available.

    [SOLVED] Rear glass defroster tab

Umm nope. The Frost Fighter kit you supposedly used is glue. Electrically conductive epoxy. Read about it. Educate yourself. Don’t go online and make a fool of yourself over this shit. Oops too late.

Wonder if they changed the design or something. 3 bad ones in a row seems unlikely though.

    Rear Struts Blown

Im sorry to tell you but shocks don’t determine a vehicles height, springs do. Either coil springs, coil over springs or air springs. Not shocks- they only absorb shocks, that’s why their long name is shock absorbers. As you must know by now, you don’t have coilovers (long form is coilover shock...

***SOLVED** so where is the Transfer Case Control Module located?

Don’t forget the switch in the dash, they’re a common problem and super easy to swap out. Good luck, I’ve been dealing with a TCCM intermittent code being thrown. I think mine might need to have an update done, there was a TSB on it.

Can you get the headliner in through the door on your single cab? I know on my crew cab I have to go through the back or front, both would require removing glass which would suck.

Any aluminum radiators that don't crack annually?

That’s awesome. Since this thread started I know of 2 others on this forum that have had leaks with their Cold Case radiators. Consider yourself one of the lucky ones. Once again, I also have had zero issues with any of my OEM radiators, one of which has 180k on it so far.

Feel like a kid on chrismas

I went with Performabuilt ‘s level 3 “invincible” 4l60 and a 3-disc billet FTI torque converter for my 02. They sell a black edition 4l60 for about $7400 that they claim hasn’t been broken by anybody yet. They manufacture their own parts in-house and modify OEM parts with a full machine shop...

Feel like a kid on chrismas

hey @Biggshawn824 i have done what you’re talking about to my 02 Denali but I did it all myself. There’s a lot of money involved if you’re talking about having a shop do the work because at $100-150 per hour it adds up fast. I have probably $20 k in parts alone between the supercharger, trans...

Tips to repair/fix/replace tiny tear on center console arm rest ?

I just replace mine with an aftermarket one if they get damaged. That’s not leather, thus the tear. They make new ones every day as they say. I see that model year going for about $50-70 on Amazon. 4 screws later and you’ll never know. They look and work exactly the same. I think they’re all...

Esky Roof rack end cap clips

Post a picture. I’ve disassembled 2 of these completely and painted the chrome side rails. If you’re talking the small push-in clips, those are generic. Just buy a kit of plastic push in clips (They’re called tree clips)in various sizes. I don’t recall there being anything special.

Rocket Man’s 2008 Tahoe Build Thread

Yesterday I did a second row seat swap from my buckets go a 60/40 bench seat for my 115 lb dog Kinjo. He was used to that in The Beast so when I started driving this one he managed but he was not comfortable. I kept looking for a used set but finally found a guy to trade. It’s difficult at this...

We have just been through an atmospheric river here and I’m happy to say that the leak is fixed. It rained for 4 straight days and the carpet is still dry as a bone. I declare victory on that.

    Torque Converter Bolt help

Man he must have really yanked on the tail end of that trans in order to get that much leverage and force to break the housing. Idiot. A guy can tell when what he’s doing is wrong if he just pays attention to that little man in his head that says “ I know I should stop but…”

Yeah there’s o-rings in those, if you look inside you’ll see them. It’s what seals them. I always use dish soap on o-rings so they slide on.

How to easily change spark plug for cylinder #8 in 10 minutes, no hassle!

Yeah but my ratchet method is still the simplest and easiest. Nothing like a nice ratchet handle to get a good grip. People are always telling me to get a grip so there I am. :)
