What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

are you sure you want those features? 1. lane keep sucks because it only works when there is really good paint marking on the road, which is basically never, at least around here 2. many people dislike the adaptive cruise. option 3 I would at least try to find one that has both regular cruise...

Big upgrade, just got a real AI (Gemini)

I got on my 2012 & 2018 as well, but it's really on my phone and it just integrates into android auto which I have had pretty much since inception in 2015 I have had Gemini on my PC since beta (google invite). It's not entirely accurate, don't depend on it to give you correct information. All...

Just bought (now fixing!) 2021 Yukon XL Denali

well if you are pretty computer savvy you an get GDS2 running for about $120 with the vcx-nano, it can be a major pita. but if you need gds2 diagnostics without paying there huge fee it's possible. there are other "dongles" out there also they just cost a bit more. and ya a lot of the stuff out...

Engine dies at slow speeds inconsistently

just watch all your data when it is happening or do a drive record if you have that option. I would be looking at the maf/throttle body/map/ambient temp data next if one of the sensors is out of whack it can make it do all kinds of weird stuff clean the maf, clean the throttle body, get a new...

Just bought (now fixing!) 2021 Yukon XL Denali

ever since 2015+ the paint is thinner and softer so it scratches very easily, even rubbing your finger on it can make a mark. the metal is thinner also the slightest bump into something can make a nice dent. but it is what it is....just have to buff it more often

gds2 is the system that gm uses now yes, the tech2 was a proprietary rtos, but gds2 is more java based. innova has been around a long time, I have never had anything they make fail. they sell a lot of handheld scanners, the 7111 is a tablet this link should show everything it can or cannot do...

Just bought (now fixing!) 2021 Yukon XL Denali

I've moved my way up to a innova 7111, it does pretty much everything that a tech2 would do on the older generations, except connect to techline. if you check ebay daily you can end up grabbing one for like $200. the innova 7111 has free updates for life. it updates via wi-fi or usb and works...

    Rear A/C Control

If, everything else checks out then the culprit is usually the rear control module. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=2005+surburban+rear+ac+control+module&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw=2005+surburbam+rear+ac+control+module&_osacat=0

    GM Front Axle Nut?

there are plenty of "higher quality" ones there for sure, I personally don't need nor want to pay $1k for something that's not that critical for me. i am not building 2,000 horse power motors or anything, nor running a shop but did want something better than harbor freight...... i have a couple...

    GM Front Axle Nut?

a few of us all bought the ridgid impacts when they had a good sale on them a few years back at home depot, it does pretty much move the air impact of the end of the line. if you register the ridgid battery it has a lifetime warranty.

    replacement dash ?

you can get a dashcap for cheaper but beware it covers the access to remove the cluster if that ever needs to be serviced, you can of course pull the cap off to do it but they are glued on when installed. if you poke around the site there is one guy I think in texas that can get some re-pops...

New to the forum and have a question.

Does the onboard vehicle voice command work? like for nav or saying who to call etc? if it does then it is probably a security setting on the iphone. if the voice command cannot hear you, then the onboard vehicle mic may have a problem. it's going to be one or the other.

Engine dies at slow speeds inconsistently

check the fuel pressure it should be 50+ key on engine off, 43psi engine running at idle. the fuel smell could be the evap purge solenoid allowing fuel fumes in from the gas tank it is on the front drivers side of the engine, that could also be a possibility, when idling the solenoid should be...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

You should clear the obd system when replacing the 02 sensors so it can relearn the new ones properly, even if you did not have any codes or problems so either disconnect the battery use a scanner

Newish doesn't mean diddly we can't even tell you how many times it has turned out to be the problem..... knock-off, cracked, miss gap, so on so forth. the diagnostic tree is on purpose, skip a step and you'll kick yourself later if that's what is was.
