Best Price on a Magnuson or In Stock?

I don’t really trust most shops opinions since they usually just sell what makes them the most money, unless the product is really terrible and costs them too much time dealing with it. The belt drive on an SS isn’t the same as a truck and they also don’t use the same supercharger (2.3L vs...

Best Price on a Magnuson or In Stock?

I did not. I have always like Magnuson better because I have seen so many of them on high mileage vehicles with no issues. I don’t know if it’s specific to the SS Sedan, but Whipple has an issue with the idler pulley failing and everyone is saying to replace it as a maintenance item.

Best Price on a Magnuson or In Stock?

There are tons of people on forums that have reported issue with getting everything they ordered, having to wait forever for the parts, awful customer service. I have seen some stuff saying they’re better now, but there’s no way I’d take the chance after seeing the stuff I saw for years...

Best Price on a Magnuson or In Stock?

I would never give Boost District any of my money.

Best Price on a Magnuson or In Stock?

Wow, I don’t ever remember seeing it that cheap. I thought the cheapest I remember was close to $6k on Black Friday sales over the years.

Best Price on a Magnuson or In Stock?

$7395 is the current price everywhere. I thought TRE was one of the ones that offered a discount at one point but I contacted them and they said not even for Black Friday. It is $7145 on Down East with the “in cart” sale that supposedly ends today. I wonder if it’s one of those perpetual sales...

Best Price on a Magnuson or In Stock?

I am looking into buying a Magnuson for my 13 rather than getting rid of it for a Navigator and a fat payment. I was wondering if anyone had been watching and knew the cheapest place to buy it? There used to be plenty of places to get discounts on them and now the only site I’ve found is Down...

Highway driving - do you make constant corrections or can you relax?

The color and 2WD is why I bought it, even though I knew I shouldn’t have. Now the only original paint left is the liftgate, I’ve replaced most the the truck inside and out, and I’m fixing to go ahead and delete the AFM hardware and just get it over with since I’m buried in it now. Energy...

Highway driving - do you make constant corrections or can you relax?

I am not sure if ours is “fixed” because we haven’t taken any long trips, but I do believe it is improved. I did the Fox coilovers, GM rear air shocks from the K2 trucks for 22” wheels, put the stock steering knuckles back in to put the front at stock ride height again, changed the rear springs...

    Anything except HP Tuners?

Good tunes aren't cheap and cheap tunes aren't good. Just leave it alone. A bad tune can completely ruin a vehicle and if you don't know what you're doing, you definitely should not mess with it yourself. The dealer can absolutely tell if a tune has been removed and reprogrammed back to stock.

    05 yukon hood...direct fit for 04 tahoe?

The Yukon hood is different around the headlights and GMC fenders are different from Chevy so it may fit differently there as well.

    Arnott AS-3429 Failure

The shaft is not fixed inside the shock, it can rotate.

    Arnott AS-3429 Failure

There’s a reason I tell people to avoid these. I’ve seen this before, one even destroyed the auxiliary heater hoses and all the coolant leaked out.

    Ride height adjustment ratio?

Probably less since their ideal setup is for a 2” lift. The Belltech’s probably would have been a better option but I’ve never cared for Belltech shocks so I was hesitant. It didn’t bottom out going over speed bumps but I haven’t driven it on the road yet.

    Ride height adjustment ratio?

I didn’t end up measuring the actual length I moved the collars. I called Fox and they said 2 turns was 1/4” of ride height change. I ended up lowering the collars 22 turns for the left and 24 turns for the right to put me 1/4” higher than with the stock shocks and springs and made the left to...

    Ride height adjustment ratio?

I’m not sure if I’m not using the correct phrasing but I haven’t been able to find this information on a search and I figure this is the most likely place to have it. I’m trying to find out the height change ratio for these trucks so I can adjust my Fox 2.0 coilovers to stock ride height and...

Highway driving - do you make constant corrections or can you relax?

I don't think I've seen this mentioned on here, but Energy Suspension makes polyurethane steering gear bushings for these trucks that includes the right bushing. I wonder if it's a nice fit unlike the OEM one and the one from Amazon. I'm not sure if this is a new product or not because it's...

Highway driving - do you make constant corrections or can you relax?

Funny you say that because I had a 91 Camaro that was the worst about it.

Highway driving - do you make constant corrections or can you relax?

I really don’t think it’s tramlining. I am very familiar with it because the Michelin Pilot Super Sport was very bad about it as well as at least one other car I can no matter what tire was on it. I went ahead and bought the 2” drop springs and matching shock extenders for the rear since found...

Highway driving - do you make constant corrections or can you relax?

I do not believe it is something I can notice immediately, it seems like I need to be on the highway for over an hour before it starts bothering me and we don’t that often. There is also the possibility that it is very road dependent. The stretch of highway I drive to work is pretty fresh so I...

Highway driving - do you make constant corrections or can you relax?

The 2020 I was thinking about going to look at this weekend sold, which is probably a good thing since I’ve been talking crap about them since 2016 and the suspension is so similar to the 900 that it might have the same issue I have here. I still can’t decide if I want to put more money into...

Highway driving - do you make constant corrections or can you relax?

The BBB is still the most expensive. I almost ordered it but then wasn’t sure I wanted to risk spending more money on this damn thing. Even a new one seems like it has a little bit of play in it. I replaced it on both of my trucks.

Highway driving - do you make constant corrections or can you relax?

I tried that kit but I had a hell of a time getting that bushing on the right side and then once I did, it made a horrendous noise so I took it back out. I took the void filler bracket out when I changed to the gel filled bushings earlier this year.

Highway driving - do you make constant corrections or can you relax?

I knew someone had done one of the aftermarket steering gears, but I couldn’t remember who it was and couldn’t find the post. If it is a worn part, the gear is the only option because it was a used part. It was supposed to be from a 30k mile Yukon XL SLT that had been hit in the rear and it...
