GMT800 vs GMT900. Which to buy?

On Cargurus in Texas. Looks very nice. Black interior and a 2WD. Has the old man accessory pack but it could be returned to stock with little issue.

2012 Rear Escalade Bumper With Dual Tips - Part numbers

You will definitely need that, that’s the part the hitch cover hangs on. I love that GM thinks discontinuing everything for the vehicles they already sold will make me want to give them any amount of money for a new one.

Has anyone used a 24284077 Torque Converter (6L90?)

So far, the CTS-V converter is great. The most noticeable difference is that when you put it in gear, it barely rolls until you give it some throttle. When driving, it feels very similar to stock, but I have only done WOT once, which is probably what would be most noticeable. It does feel...

Has anyone used a 24284077 Torque Converter (6L90?)

It has about 13k miles on it. I actually didn’t think it was that much. I was going to reuse it but figured I would wish I did the CTS-V converter so I bought it at the last minute. I was also going to swap the valve body from the current transmission since it already has the zip kit in it but...

    After Market Headlights

Buy the OEM lights unless you aren’t keeping the truck. The aftermarket ones are garbage. They last a year at most and then the lenses start fading again. I bought the supposedly good Eagle Eyes brand to do a HID retrofit on my old Yukon so I didn’t risk breaking new OEM ones, and they started...

Has anyone used a 24284077 Torque Converter (6L90?)

I didn’t like the idea of only using 3 bolts but, apparently, tons of people do it and it’s fine. I went ahead and bought the CTS-V converter for my stock 13 that’s getting a transmission first so we’ll see how it feels. Might be pulling it back out and going with the other one but we’ll see...

    GM converter upgrade question

The CTS-V converter is not the same as a truck 6L80 converter (which really only became a major problem after 2015). The CTS-V converter is a dual clutch unit as is the 21+ 6L90 gasser converter which has an 1800 RPM stall. Circle D transmissions recommends both of those. I’ve decided to go with...

    Battery Replacement a Professional Job?!

They won’t do any batteries that have fuse blocks on top of them because they’re easy to break.

    Escalade Auto/Express Up Windows

The Dorman is a reman if I remember correctly. What’s wrong with yours? If it’s just the cables snapped in the regulator, you can buy a new regulator for a Tahoe or Yukon and just swap your motor and then everything is new minus the motor.

    GM 6L80 Transmission Information Thread

If it were mine, I’d go ahead and change it. You won’t know it’s gone bad until it’s too late and you’ll need a full rebuild or a unit.

    Escalade Auto/Express Up Windows

The regulator itself is the same but the motors are different and the connector on the motor is different as well as the door module so you can’t just delete the express up without changing the whole door harness and door module as well. There are plenty of used ones on eBay. That’s where I got...

Has anyone used a 24284077 Torque Converter (6L90?)

I definitely don’t want a high stall. I did a 3200 stall in my old Trailblazer SS because everyone on the forum said you had to do a 3200-3600 stall or it won’t get out of its own way and I absolutely hated it. I ended up putting everything I had done back to stock and then ended up selling it, too.

Has anyone used a 24284077 Torque Converter (6L90?)

I’m not boosted right now. I’d really love to but it looks like Magnuson has discontinued the 6.2L 07-08 kit and due to previous bad experiences piecing stuff together, I’m not sure I want to go the LSA route, and I’m not sure if I’d want to get the 09-14 Magnuson and just figure out what’s...

Why don’t my batteries last !!!!

There are some high end AGM batteries like Odyssey but I have a hard time believing they’re worth twice the price of a regular battery and probably last the same amount of time and would be more difficult to warranty.

2016 Yukon Denali weird stuff, sketchy gm dealer

I don’t see anything sketchy going on here. Why would they tell you about a special policy that you aren’t covered by? Warranty time is not customer pay time for a myriad of reasons. A broken valve spring is just something that happens sometimes. Fix it and move on. The 15s and 16s were not good...

    2/3 drop while retaining autoride?

Keep the Belltech kit and just change out the rear springs and shock extenders. I like the Belltech knuckles, the shorter rear bump stops are included are much nicer than cutting the stock ones, and the shorter links for the rear suspension sensors are awesome. You can resell the Belltech rear...

The McGaughys extenders are exactly the same as DJM, they’re just powder coated a different color.

    2/3 drop while retaining autoride?

I think you’re finally the first person that agrees with me about those springs. Get the MaxTrac rear 4” springs if you’re using the spacer under the Belltech spring. The spring rate agrees with the auto ride much better. I went thorough a lot of springs before I found these. You also need to...

Why don’t my batteries last !!!!

2-3 years is about all a battery lasts these days. It might last more if you have a vehicle (not these trucks) that has the battery inside the car. They’re all made by only a couple of manufacturers so the brand doesn’t matter as much. I’ve found the cheapest batteries seem to last the...

Has anyone used a 24284077 Torque Converter (6L90?)

I have decided that I'm going to use the Circle D transmissions stage 2.5 6L80 rebuild kit in my 2008. I am also going to replace my complete valve body, pump, torque converter, and 1-2-3-4/3-5-R drum. I have been planning on using the CTS-V torque converter since I have a mild VVT cam but...

    Power running board fix discovered

Correct, a dealer (or any shop) can’t guarantee that “repair.” If they did that and charged you, once it starts acting up again in a week, you’d be back in there shouting that they ripped you off. The customers have made it this way. No one can try and help the customer out because when it...
