Engine ticking, GM ticking me off!

There stand is that if they don't find anything covered they want my cash for parts and labor. My stand is if your team is advising then you do it on your dime.

    Factory Suspension Replacement

Ok, ordered the ACDELCO factory replacement struts and shocks. Anyone every pulled their strut apart to put the coil spring on a new strut. Advice? Also ordered the MOOG problem solver front sway bar links with the good bushings. Figured since they are coming off for the struts might as well...

Engine ticking, GM ticking me off!

That's what I was thinking. Just wish I could get them to own up to it and pull it apart. I don't feel I should have to pay diagnoses fees regardless since the engine is ticking.

Engine ticking, GM ticking me off!

No, my oil pressure gauge is stable. It hasn't changed one bit. Sound is only coming from the right head area. Someone on here said something about the AFM lifter flattening out as well. I don't know what to think. I know GM should man up and rectify the issue.

Engine ticking, GM ticking me off!

Ugh, the frustration consumes me. 2011 Tahoe LT 4WD, 77,000 miles. Engine started making this ticking noise from the passenger side head area about 4 weeks ago. It never goes away cold or hot and the ticking increases with RPM. Made an appointment and took it in. The technician verified...

09 Tahoe Oil Consumption issue solved

Would the GM powertrain warranty cover this replacement? Afterall it would be considered a failure of an internally lubricated part! If there is an updated cover to replace one with a known issue I would think they would cover that, no?

    E85 fuel!

It was stated before, we didn't buy these road warrior beasts based on fuel mileage. If you did, your not right in the head. However, E85 is a step in the direction of lowering or need for foreign oil. Brazil offers 100% ethanol at all of their pumps, it's the law there to have the choice...

    E85 fuel!

I have certainly noticed a mileage decrease but not enough to stop using. It really feels like a new truck again. I love how it runs, doesn't feel bogged down. Perhaps longer interstate driving I may go more unleaded for the mileage factor, but I'm still impressed. I have an '11 Malibu...

    E85 fuel!

Okay, here it is. I didn't drink the koolaid but I am a believer. My '11 Tahoe LT runs a bit sluggish after 30 min of driving. Changed plugs and did a full tune up. All factory parts were used. So the other day I decide to hit the E85 pump. Gas light was on so it was pretty empty. Filled...

G80 I looked, and the RPO code G80 is on the build sticker in the glove box. I will inspect the panhard trackbar this evening. Thank you, all very good information.

Shock & Strut information NEEDED!!! HELP

Yes I agree Bilsteins are the best choice. So if I am not going to level or lift the vehicle then the 4600 would be the way to go?

Shock & Strut information NEEDED!!! HELP

I am going back and forth. I have ready some threads where guys say the 5100 is too stiff, and others say the 4600's are. May not lower after all whats best for bilstein series 5100 or 4600?

Rear end clunk and shifting when turning!

How do I find this out? RPO code? But wouldn't it do it all the time? In only does it at this one intersection where a downward slop meets a level road. When turning right, and the rear suspension is extending and contracting.

What are you guys running for brakes

Agreed, my theory is "buy once, cry once"

Question on Bilstein 5100 and CCM for 2011 Tahoe 4x4

Bilstein Part #'s I spoke with Bilstein, I as well have a 2011 Tahoe LT 4WD and was told direct that these numbers were for my vehicle. Front 24-186940 strut Rear 24-187237 Shock The 5100 series strut has leveling grooves to change spring seat loactions. Thus making it so you don't need...
