Totally understand (and respect) you guys looking for the base trim. I hope you both get what you are looking for soon. I'm one that actually made that jump up to the SLT/LT model because there are a couple things I just didn't want to compromise on...leather seat (I guess I could add later)...- bunky319

Agreed. My point is many people shopping for the Yukon/XL are most like cross-shopping against the Tahoe/Suburban. This instantly creates another substantial price difference. I can only assume GM is trying to create additional distinctions between GMC and Chevrolet.- bunky319

Mandatory Onstar?
Yeah noticed this when the 2023 order banks were first opened. Basically it raised the retail price of my 2023 Yukon XL SLT order by $1500. Really sucks. What's really strange (IMO) is that this requirement doesn't appear to apply to the Tahoe/Suburban. So effectively my Yukon XL price went...- bunky319

2023 Changes: New black grille for Tahoe/Suburban

I assume you dropped the Luxury package? I'm curious if anyone with the Duramax or Luxury package actually had their order accepted for MY 2023? I heard both were on constraint which is why I haven't been able to put in orders yet. I'm just unwilling to compromise on those two items.- bunky319

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I called back one of the Inventory managers at a local dealer and asked him if he has heard of any way to remove that OnStar requirement. He said "no". I asked if he had any idea why GMC would have the requirement but not Chevrolet and of course he had no idea...- bunky319

I'm not sure what's going on....but I don't see the same Onstar requirements for my Suburban as I did for my Yukon XL in the Order Guide. Also, the Build and Price of my Suburban still shows the same price from last week but the Yukon XL is $1500 more. I sure hope they are not making that...- bunky319

For the SLE and SLT model you have to order R9M "3 years of OnStar & Connected Services Plan" Retail and Sold (TRE/SRE) orders will be forced to include option (R9M) 3 years of OnStar & Connected Services Plan. So I just talked to two different GMC dealers, and these are the guys who actually place the orders. They told me that pricing was announced today but orders cannot be submitted until tomorrow. Yeah, I honestly don't know. But even if the dealer has to resubmit, that doesn't necessarily require any more paperwork from the customer. If the customer signs something saying pricing was "TBD", the dealer could re-submit without any additional approvals. You could always sign something...- bunky319

The way one of my dealers explained it was if pricing wasn't established, those early orders will just get kicked back out once pricing is established and have to be resubmitted. Assuming that is true (and honestly I have no idea), it seems like we really need to have firm pricing established...- bunky319
