To follow up here, the FE9 emissions sticker for the Tahoe/Yukon LZ0 does show CA emissions compliance. Not sure why GM has different emissions codes when the federal emissions build is 50 state compliant.
Does the emissions sticker under the hood say anything next to "CA" or "California"? It looks like this. I'm trying to figure out if a non CA spec duramax is compliant with CA emissions...
Use your cell phone camera to take video of the driver facing IR camera. I'd bet it shines an IR light repeatedly, which sets off the V1. A V2, or any detector, will likely have the same issue.
You can confirm by covering the ir camera with a few layers of blue painter tape (won't leave a residue).
Anyone have any idea if the FE9 Federal Emissions spec on the LZ0 covers California emissions? I found this on the CARB website but not sure what it means exactly.

Does supercruise have an IR camera that tracks driver eye movement to ensure driver engagement? If so, that's likely setting off the laser detection on the V1
2002 Tahoe 2WD:
I just replaced my two stock Nivomat rear shocks with Bilstein 5100 shocks. Also replaced the coil springs with the Bilstein 199021 springs. Ride is MUCH improved, but now the left side is higher than the right by 1.5".
I made sure to align the springs into the pockets...
