    Harsh ride

Do you know if they are covering reprogramming and/or replacing defective units? I wonder how they would know a unit was defective unless it either throws a code, or has measurable tolerances that shows it is out of spec?

Best aftermarket alarm for the most stolen vehicle on the road.

Well hopefully you'd be civil and lawful despite the potential scare it might put into your kid. It can be temporarily disabled in certain situations out in a public area where many people are walking around. Keep in mind that some of us live in areas where many crooks/punks (not just a top...

    So what was your solution?

    Harsh ride

Wow, hard to believe there are those who wish to bypass one of the features that make an SUV handle so well. I have stock 22's and while I feel the bumps, it is an SUV afterall. I just wonder if people are expecting too much from a huge heavy truck, and wanting them to ride like an Acura luxury car.

Loose/sagging leather on center console armrest & adding wireless charging to it.

Indeed This one came from up north, so the service adviser speculated people trying to keep their skin supple had used cream which got into the leather. He also noticed a stink bug in the cabin, and said they are a problem up north. He said not to squash it inside the cabin. Needless to say I...

The definitive thread about the differences between early build 2015 Escalade's and the 15.5's

It would appear I lost my edit abilities, so I guess even if you start the thread, you only have a certain amount of time/days to edit. I will check with a mod/admin to see if they can grant me edit privileges considering how I'd like to update the list. In the mean time keep the info coming...

    Harsh ride

Actually the reason I decided to move up to either a Denali or Escalade was for the magnetic ride suspension. Though some LTZ Subs apparently had it as an option, I also wanted the 6.2 and 8 speed transmission which is only available on those two models. This all came about after having renting...

    Key Fobs

I am assuming the fobs differentiate between different drivers so when fob one is activated, the setting for driver one are engaged, and the same for driver 2 settings?

Loose/sagging leather on center console armrest & adding wireless charging to it.

Now I could be wrong, but I don't think the sag is actually from the sun. Normally damage from the sun involves fading and the like, yet the leather seems fine other than not being taut. At least one service adviser said it is from body sweat or even cream/oils people put on their skin where...

    87 octane vs 91 octane

I get your point, but not everyone that buys an Escalade (especially used) is a "baller". Furthermore, many a report has come out over the years to show very few cars (typically high performance) that suggest or call for premium, actually need it. Now in my ZR-1, it gets premium no questions...

    87 octane vs 91 octane

I am not saying you are wrong, far from it. However not everyone gets a tangible increase in fuel efficiency when going with higher octane. If people are not experiencing detonation or other maladies from lower octane, your aforementioned example is not necessarily accurate. For high performance...

Brand New 2018 Yukon <300 Miles Dead Battery

Not sure if you read what I posted about my 2007 Sub in relation to the potential parasitic drain on my 2015 Escalade. At least the older platform has a feature that will kill all power to things like interior lights accidentally left on (after 10-15 minutes) to preserve the battery. I must...

shale /cocoa , looking for a floor liner that matches

Your welcome. I still have not decided on either the color or even which liner to choose. There are a couple of threads discussing which is better, cost, fit, etc. There are some pictures in it as I recall, so that might also help you on your quest.

Loose/sagging leather on center console armrest & adding wireless charging to it.

When I started looking for a 2015 Escalade or Denali, I'd see a decent number of center arm rests that looked like the leather was rumpled, sagging or loose. That is the case with the one I bought. Though this is a picture of a different type of armrest, it is the same principle; I am...

shale /cocoa , looking for a floor liner that matches

I have the same color interior, and Weathertech sent me 3 different samples to help me decide. Any will work (other than grey) with both black and cocoa working off the accents of the dash, control panel, and the like. However their tan is not a perfect match, and frankly I am not sure any of...

    87 octane vs 91 octane

I've seen a few of these posts, and I guess depending on where your live, the cost can be that small. However in some cities like the one I live in, if your price difference is roughly $0.70 more for premium and your tank holds 30 gallons, you are talking about a $21 price difference per tank.

    Dex-cool vs the green stuff

I am not sure about other GM vehicles, but many in the Corvette world have gotten rid of their Dexcool because of the issues with it effecting the gaskets (degradation) and similar issues to what you describe. Thus no Dexcool in my ZR-1. However I can say that my 2007 Sub had Dexcool in it, and...

The definitive thread about the differences between early build 2015 Escalade's and the 15.5's

I have been told there are other things, but since I have not verified them yet, I am waiting for others with more knowledge to post them. For example, I remember reading about how none of the 2015's had the IntelliBeam feature, with that starting in 2016. Yet mine has it, and it is an early...

That is a novel idea worth considering. Definitely outside of the box thinking.

Best aftermarket alarm for the most stolen vehicle on the road.

I don't want to have the voice module, just the chirp warning to stay away. However if they stay within the perimeter for too long it will set off the alarm prior to them being able to cut the power.

The definitive thread about the differences between early build 2015 Escalade's and the 15.5's

Jason, I have not added the kick open tailgate to the list of missing features (at least not yet) because mine actually has it despite being an early model. I thought it didn't, but discovered almost by accident that it does. However, it does not kick closed, so I am looking into that. As to...

The definitive thread about the differences between early build 2015 Escalade's and the 15.5's

As some of you know from reading about my situation, I was unaware of the 2015 mid-year upgrade of the Escalade, and significant differences between what I presume is referred to as the 15 vs. 15.5 Escalade's. So in an effort to help prevent someone else from making the same mistake that I did...

On the BMW the moving headlights were called Bi-Xenon Adaptive Headlights like this video demonstrates; However as the old saying goes, be careful what you wish for. I had those on a 330cic and was pleased with them. That is until something went wrong with one of them. Apparently since the...
