My dealership odyssey and claimed carbon buildup

As an update GM didn't do squat, other than contact the dealership and buy whatever story they told them. Then when I got annoyed, they offered me a $100 coupon that I could apply to the bill the dealership expects me to pay. In the mean time the dealer said my ESV was ready, and if I didn't...

My dealership odyssey and claimed carbon buildup

The SM said he would warrantee it for 1 year if I agreed to pay my portion, but I am not sure how legit that is. Plus if I move to some other area, the warrantee would presumably only be with this dealer.

My dealership odyssey and claimed carbon buildup

That is what I was thinking also, but that is the lame verbal excuse my SA gave me. If the problem they are claiming is the reason for it running rough and causing the check engine light to come on, they missed in the first 3 times I brought it in to them. Also when they replaced the lifter on...

My dealership odyssey and claimed carbon buildup

They still have it, will likely be doing the work, and expect me to pay 40%. As to them screwing me over, they seem to view it as doing me a special favor based on the calculator since my miles are so low for a 2015. I tried to do a search on carbon buildup for these motors, as the SA said...

My dealership odyssey and claimed carbon buildup

I need some sound advice on a current dilemma I have with my dealership, and them wanting $$$ to fix something that should have been covered under my factory powertrain warrantee before it expired. I had my 2015 in for service to determine why I was having a hard to slamming shift in late May...

    Gun Safe

Well for starters, I and everyone reading your post from the globalists, Feds, and on down will be disappointed to hear you lost your SIG in a recent boating accident, many miles off shore, in very deep water. However if you were to hypothetically get another firearm which you might be...

Denali clunking in steering wheel CONTINUED, Changeover to non power steering column

I did fully extend my telescoping steering wheel, but the clicking remains. :(

Denali clunking in steering wheel CONTINUED, Changeover to non power steering column

I think there is another thread on this topic where I commented that I did not have such a noise/click. However this is the only one that popped up in my search. The reason I looked for this subject is that my 2015 ESV started to "click" when turning on occasion, but not often. I assumed this...

The definitive thread about the differences between early build 2015 Escalade's and the 15.5's

Apparently compared to what? I am just noticing it has been a while since I posted on this forum.

The definitive thread about the differences between early build 2015 Escalade's and the 15.5's

Well mine has it, but I discovered it by accident, not realizing the fob had to be on you when you attempted it. That is the good news. The bad news is that mine will not kick close. I know it is suppose to because I have seen videos Escalades doing so, but mine does not for some reason.

    Weigh Distribution Hitch

I bought one of those when I needed a quick one and wasn't sure where else was open or nearby. It is ok, but is not as solid as other brands I've seen. Plus it is loose fitting which might seem ok when it has weight on it, but depending on the turn, bumps, road level it can move along with the...

    87 octane vs 91 octane

Not that I know of. It is not badged that way, but I imagine Caddy's wouldn't carry that badge even if it were (for the upscale cosmetic look). I must say I am still more of a Sub guy, but certain things on this Escalade are nice.

    HD suburban

Thanks for the info, but the reduced towing capacity (by a large amount) eliminates any interest I might have had. It is counter intuitive to have an HD truck that has a much lower tow capacity.

None in my used 15 Escalade that I have noticed thus far.

TRT, Tow Rig Tuesday...show what ya tow

No pics, but I tow everything from a small open trailer to as large as an enclosed 32' cargo trailer. I have never experienced any issues with my 97, 01, 07 Subs, or now my 15 Escalade.

    HD suburban

So what are the specs on an HD, and what range do they typically sell in?

    87 octane vs 91 octane

I use to run 87 in my 2007 Sub (with a 5.3) without ever having a problem. Now that I have the large engine with the 2015 Escalade I try to use 93 unless it is some ungodly price. I'll add enough 87 to keep me going until I can get to a Costco where prices are as much as $.30 less per gal. So I...

Do our $$$$$ Escalade's not have an integrated brake controller?

If I understand your post correctly, do my stock 22's reduce my capacity below what the specs for towing?

Do our $$$$$ Escalade's not have an integrated brake controller?

My experience has been the opposite of what you describe. My 2007 Sub towed a 28 foot trailer with a decent load. There was no squatting (like I experienced with a rented Ford Expedition) as the Sub was very level. Heck if anything, it was a little too high. Now I will grant you that towing...

    Weathertech vs Husky Weatherbeater

My thoughts exactly. If I have two equal products, both around the same price, rest assured I will give deference to American made, support of our blue or military, favorite charity, etc. I will also consider political activism by a company and choose not to support them if they put politics...

Do our $$$$$ Escalade's not have an integrated brake controller?

That is a legit point, however if the wireless connection is lost the module still retains the last setting, so the brakes will still apply, all be it not with a manual lock up (if that is what you'd be able to do in an emergency situation. Don't get me wrong, as I am not sold on the system...

Do our $$$$$ Escalade's not have an integrated brake controller?

Then why tout it's towing capacity? Lets face it, no one is going to tow 8k without brakes functioning on the trailer. Heck I can see a potential lawsuit for those who assume it is integrated once the 7 way connector from the trailer to the Escalade is inserted.
