Notice just yesterday that my brake light was out, so today I opened up the passenger side brake light and was met with a nice burnt smell. Looked around at fuses and found #26 15amp fuse blown so I put another 15amp in and it immediately blew it. Any suggestions?
Figures it out.. it’s leaking on towards the rear both sides of the oil pan. Also at the block off plate. Removed the starter to check the crank position sensor but it’s dry. Degreased everything, dried and watched it slowly pool up here
I’m going to pull the starter when I get home and check the crank position sensor just to be sure and also get a better look at that side of the pan. I already checked the oil pressure sensor on the top, it was bone dry and looked somewhat new
Damn wish I saw this before I ordered the gasket. I’ll probably order this anyway just in case. I looked at the pan gasket and that seems to be pretty dry, I’m leaning more towards something else. I’ve wiped it all clean so hopefully if/when it starts leaking again I can spot where it’s coming from
Got under the truck and pulled both inspection covers and luckily I didnt find any oil inside the bellhousing. But that block off plate was a little wet with oil, but also on the starter side it was a bit oily
Ordered the gasket for the block off plate and also ordered a new oil pan drain...
Had my muffler welded in the other day and my buddy had pointed out an oil drip. It’s was on the bottom of the oil pan and the transmission inspection cover I’m guessing? He said it looked to him to be the rear main that was leaking it’s way down. So I called up another good friend of mine and...
Didn’t get a chance to get a video without the resonator but it’s probably just louder lol. I am very pleased with the muffler, it came out exactly how I wanted
Muffler got here yesterday bringing it by a buddies meinike Monday to have him weld it up I’ll post up some videos with and without the factory resonator
One thing I noticed with the h3 mounts is better gas mileage (now with new h3 mounts vs broken factory mounts). I’m not sure I would want to go with poly mounts after getting used to the slight vibrations I feel with the h3’s. If it were me I’d either go full poly or full h3. Half and half to me...
My buddy owns a meinike by me just trying to get the pieces instead of possibly waiting around if he doesn’t have them in stock or he could expand the stock piping. Not sure how he’ll go about it.
Well I ordered this Jones Exhaust Flowpack Muffler JFP300 3.00 Inch Inlet / Outlet https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NX9DD5E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_VfiZBbN34XPWA
I’m not too savvy with reducers and stuff anyone know what I would need?
No problem I figured it out. I was trying to figure the inside diameter of the inlet/outlet pipes. Which if it’s 16g pipe, it would be 2 7/8” ID. Hopefully my math is right.
