It does do that. My wife drives it most of the time so its probably better for her. Its a nice ride, just wish I knew what the hell half the stuff is on this beast.
Thanks for the answers everyone. So we dont have clutch packs, Is it considered VLSD then. Sorry for all the questions. I have never had all wheel drive and am just a little confused as you can see. I did shut of the traction control DenaliAK and it did seem to help but I swear I heard it...
Jhellwig do you have the option to switch yours to 4 lo also. Are the Denalis awd and do they have the option for 4 lo also. Just wondering if there is a difference in are transfer cases. Are these AWD transfer cases weaker then the standard transfer case?
Im not sure if it uses the anti lock system it was just a thought, and yes jhellwig it does sound like an air leak. My truck doesnt have 4 hi but I can switch in to 4 lo. It would be interesting to see if any one knows if it is an anti lock system or if the front diff does lock. It is awd...
Ok then I am confused because it is all wheel drive. The noise sounds like it is coming from the front of the dash or just behind the firewall. It only makes the sound if the rear wheels loose traction really fast. like trying to leave a stop sign on ice. If you are driving through snow it...
Hey all, I have a 2005 yukon 5.3 with all wheel drive. it is not a denali. When ever the front tires engage it sounds sort of like an air gun going off a very weird noise. I brought it to the dealership and they said that they were not sure if it was normal or not but they could find no...
Hey everyone I have a 05 Yukon with awd it is not a denali . Does anyone know what transfer case it is and how it works. Also has anyone answered the G80 question is it locking or a limited slip.
thanks all

Hey everyone just going into my first winter with the Yukon and just wondering what to expect with the AWD. We get a decent amount of snow from time to time and taking it hunting up north we hit some pretty good amounts just wonder what other owners experienced in theirs. Thanks.
Thanks everyone I went with Mobil 1 we live in mn and my wife drives like 5 miles a day. Just wanted some better protection in the winter and on her long hall days she has to indure lol. Thanks again
2005 Yukon AWD
Hey all I have the AWD SLT Yukon its a 2005 only had it 2 monthes and the tranny went it has 56000 miles. I hope it gets better on from here. We live in mn so i hope this thing does good in the snow.
Hey everyone just have a question what you all use. I have a 2005 yukon with 57000 miles i just got and what to change over looking for any advice. Thanks
I dont know I could have put it in 4 low but didnt think I should have had to do that. I was on grass the tires wouldnt even spin. Well they turned once or twice then the locker kicked in and that was it. I was just like the truck would not get the rpm's up maybe it was the "abuse mode "...
It was bad felt like the truck had no power. I do pull a boat, and it has no problems with that. Just no power when trying to pull the bush out in reverse.
So I was pulling some bushes out of my yard last night and some of them actually stopped the truck from moving. As in I had to actually rock the truck in reverse to get them out. I have the 5.3 with AWD and it was almost ridiculus. It would hit about 1900 RPMs and just stop. The tires would...
