There’s no such rhing as a two speed all wheel drive transfer case for these. To gain 4Hi and 4Lo, you’d need a two speed 4x4 transfer case. It’s doable but it’s not plug and play. Parts, time and $$$. Use the search function and search specifically through engine and drive train subsections of...
It’s very different from the typical setup for them… and I like it!! I think it’s fits on your truck perfectly with the reversal of the color scheme on the rack!!
I just tackled my oil pan on my 2006 LQ4 6.0 because the crappy shop that replaced my pickup tube o ring in June of 2022 didn’t use the brand new genuine GM pickup tube and o ring that I brought them to use and the cheap crap they used failed which resulted in oil pressure loss on a highway...
Yup my 1500 Denali has the same issue. Have never been able to put a full 30 gallons in it….. but I also absolutely refuse to let it go below a quarter tank either. And I’ve never ran out of fuel and been stuck with my Denali lol.
Apparently so…… my friends that I go visit yo there a couple times a year always make fun of me because it usually takes me about 12 hours to get there….. lol. Weirdly enough I can cut an hour out of the drive home and with the time change it ends up being 10 hours instead 11
Awesome that you got to spend Christmas with your fam!
Sad day about the dog…. :nono: sucks…. I went through it last summer with tow of the dogs that belonged to my best friends parents that I knew from pretty much puppies over the course of house sitting for them. The older of the two I...
That’s not a fun surprise on what should be a simple sensor swap. I feel your pain…… as these guys have said pull the timing cover. It’s pretty easy once the drive accessories are out of the way…. Just did it with having to pull my oil pan and replace seals and the pickup tube o ring. And I...
Good to get the kid a Camry!! I had a 99 Camry XLE V6/5speed manual as my first car and loved it. So reliable and easy to work on. Hopefully his interest spikes soon and he takes after you in taking pride of ownership in rides!
Oh I’m definitely a salty MFer after this job lol. I’m salty AF at the shop that did such an Incompetent job….. like I’d be out of business as a detailer if I did such shotty incompetent work…..
I agree laying on my back on a roller cart to get everything in and out sucked. But I’m glad to see...
Moment of truth hit yesterday evening after filling the Nali back up with oil and coolant. He fired right up even after sitting in the garage for three weeks. AND….. GOOD OIL PRESSURE!! Thank god!!
Threw new valve cover gaskets in, did the passenger side a couple weeks ago when I had a few spare minutes, and then the drivers side before the disassembly of the oil pan. Was having a weird little oil smoke under certain driving and figured it’s been close to 75k since the valve cover gaskets...
Oil pan clean and new gasket in proper position ready to go in. I knew it would be a difficult maneuver to get in with the diff still in place but I took my time and wiggled it up slowly and steadily in one shot, and then put the jack stand under it to hold it in place a couple inches below the...
Definitely could see why the timing cover was leaking…. Half the gasket literally fell off as I pulled it away from the block. I was surprised that getting the new oil pump installed was pretty straight forward.
And unbolted the pickup tube…. The minute I got it out I knew it was the cause of my low oil pressure….. I still don’t know why the shop that did the o ring used entirely the wrong o ring…… especially when I brought them the right one to begin with… like I’m amazed that with this o ring...
