    Michelin Defender LTX Tires

I forgot the don’t make them for 22s in the A/T2 variant. That’s a bummer. I think I’m going back when my current defenders run out.

    Michelin Defender LTX Tires

They sucked cornering up and down the mountain roads. Way too soft. They had zero traction in the small amount of snow that we got that first winter that I’d owned the truck. It was not fun trying to drive. Constantly spinning out. And then I had to replace them because my sway bar end links...

    Michelin Defender LTX Tires

Agreed on the alenza. Bought my 2006 Denali from the same dealer that sold it new after it took it back as a trade in from its previous owner and the dealer put brand new alenzas on the stock 17s and I absolutely hated them. Won’t ever go back to those lol.

    Stock Rims issue!

Center caps can be changed out to the correct logo. Amazon has tons of them. You can even get blank ones and make whatever logo fits. your fancy.

    Michelin Defender LTX Tires

I ran two sets of Michelin LTX A/T2s, one set on my factory 17s and another set a size taller than stock for 20s and loved both sets. Only reason I went to defender LTXs, the first time was because I couldn’t get the A/Ts as they were out of stock everywhere. I’m now on my second set of...

    Stock Rims issue!

OEM take off wheels are a dime a dozen on FB market place. That’s how I scored the almost brand new 2021 take off a may of 2021. Polished aluminum face wheels with no chrome plating to peel off. Lots of panted aluminum wheels from GM as well. Everything from 2025 models and back will for your...

    Preventative Maintenance Plan Guidance (WWYD?)

If you haven’t already, I would do all seals related to engine oil. My 2006 LQ4 leaked oil from every seal it could through the second half of 100k range. Valve cover gaskets I did myself, known leak point and they’re super simple to do in the driveway. First time I did them it took me a whole...

Replacing the shift selector on a 2021 Yukon Denali

Edit: sorry I misread 2021 as 2011 and made a comment about a column shifter. That’s not helpful since you have a 2021 with push button. My bad.

45K Service - this seems excessive

I think at 33 I can still call myself a young gun?! lol but I’m with you…. Full size trucks need V8s! lol put the turbo 4bangers in the Colorado/canyon, and the compact crossover SUV. Lol keep the half ton trucks and big SUVs with a V8!

45K Service - this seems excessive

I would trust a transmission shop to do a transmission service more than any dealer given that that’s a transmission shop’s specialty…

    2020 Suburban Premier w/ 250,000 miles. 11,500$

Good looking truck! Glad you were able to make a deal! Wagoneer wheels for winter wheels is a good choice! Lol. Don’t ding up those nice RST 22s in the snow

Upgrade to Nav unit 2012 Tahoe

You could….. but it’s still a headunit from 2012. They stopped making map updates for those touchscreen nav units, I think either in 2016, or maybe it was 2018. The headunit has to be flashed to your VIN to get it to work properly. For all the headache you’ll go through to get the unit to work...

    New Arrival

spoken like a true boomer lol. Not trying be disrespectful. But all joking aside paste waxes are for the old days…. times have changed and products have gotten leaps and bounds better than the old school paste waxes.

    New Arrival

As a professional detailer I disagree. Ceramic coatings, while they take a lot more effort and labor to be done properly, far out perform any paste wax out there. lol. They bring so much more clarity to the pigments of the paint. Plus the durability and longevity of a good coating will far...

    No idea that existed lol.

    Oil pressure

Interesting. I wasn’t aware there were any problems with how the pickup tube mounts to the block. And if I remember correctly my pickup tube already had two bolts that mounts it to the block and pump. I bolted the new tube to the block the same way the original one was mounted and hasn’t had any...

Dealership suggests new engine. Your take?

So I’ll chime in simply because I dealt with this same issue in late March of 2024. I learned a lot about these engines while figuring out how to solve the pressure issue. While my engine is different than the OP’s, it did the same things. Oil pressure on the gauge in the cluster was showing...

    Dealer Service defensive measures.....

As a professional detailer, I recommend to all my clients that have ceramic coated vehicles, to NOT let the dealers wash their cars during a service. You just don’t know what products they’re using or if they send it through an automated car wash. Automated car washes with rotating brushes will...

Are there any cavaties/spaces around the 3rd row seat for something to fall into?

My guess would be something was somehow stuffed into the plastic trim pieces that cover the side walls, IE the trim parts where the third row cupholders are. Not sure how any of it disassembles, as I don’t see a storage pocket that’s removable like on the older trucks, however in the older the...

    [SOLVED] Rear glass defroster tab

Not sure if you saw my first posted response. I gave a short synopsis of what I did to fix my tabs with the frost fighters tab repair kit. Good luck in getting it fixed either with the glass shop or fixing the tabs.

    [SOLVED] Rear glass defroster tab

It’s not specific to the GMT900s. Every generation of GM SUV I detail has at least one broken tab on one side. My 2006’s glass lost two tabs. The 2005 Escalade glass I swapped on for the tail light mod had a broken tab. I have three clients with K2 platform rigs and they all have broken tabs...
