I vinyl wrapped the chrome strip on the lower power side steps of my old K2XX Yukon XL in gloss black and it held up great for at least 3+ years. No chips, rips, or peeling. Which honestly surprised me given their location so close to the ground.
Not sure after that cause the vehicle was later...
Nice! That’s a win for sure. Now what’d you do with that victory?!?!?
Personally I would have told the wife it was $5,500…
“Well once they got the bumper cover off there were actually some bent exhaust hangers crushed tail pipe and such that also needed replaced. And for the cost of a stock...
He used to and used to be quite active on here. I purchased some HD rear sway bar end links from him and communicated with him through DM on this site; That was almost exactly 2 yrs ago.
I think he’s more active on IG and maybe Facebook? I don’t have either.
But what you’re asking for is...
@MadMax_MFP The 10 speed conversion kit from PSS includes an unlocked TCM with a stock GM OEM 10l80 tune on it.
Now I didn’t get far enough with PSS to detail what model TCM if that would even be shared or if it really matters? Clearly they’ve figured out what TCM and harness modifications...
I don’t know man… IMO the ‘21+ body lines are so much taller than previous gen’s that even 22” rims just look small on them.
There’s a few lightly used options on eBay for $400+/-.

For the money and headache you'd spend on K2XX seats modifying harnesses/connections etc., potentially reprogramming the BCM to make all the electronic features work like stock etc. you'd be better off refreshing your GMT900 seats.
Hell you could get some custom leather katskin covers, new...
@MadMax_MFP Sounds like an awesome fun build for a fun street SUV!
Not sure if you’ve already rebuilt the 6l80e or sourced a torque converter, but for not much more money you could swap in a low mileage 10l80.

You'll be spinning lower...
I’m guessing since you have a 5.3L Tahoe you have a 6l80 6 speed transmission?
Are you sticking that 6.6 L8P and all its 543 TQ in front of a stock 6l80e?
How many miles on your 6l80?
How many times have you changed the fluid/filter in it?
@the 18th letter yeah I call B$ on that story from your shop regarding how your fuel rail got bent.
Depending on the existing relationship with the shop/mechanic and what type of relationship you want to continue to have with them that can be a sensative situation to approach. How do you tell...
Not quite. It is possible to get a K2XX RST with the standard 5.3/6 speed combo; Where the RST is simply a visual “trim” package with blacked out grill, window trim, and some badges.
The RST “performance” (I think?) adds the 6.2/10 speed drivetrain to the RST model.
That's a sharp looking ride for sure. That Black Ice Metallic paint is kind of rare.
What are the part numbers for the Energy Suspension steering gear bushings you got?
So your suspension set up is stock springs and stock steering knuckles(spindles) up front and you're running Fox Coilovers...
@MrTris is nailing it! I forgot about the Morimoto XB LED headlights.
The Morimoto XB LED headlights for the K2XX Tahoe/Suburban are the only aftermarket non-OEM headlight assembly I would consider.
If you’re going to go brand new, they’re significantly cheaper than OEM. They might even be...
Never even heard of the GM L8P motor until this post. It appears to be an L8T 6.6 non-AFM motor with an LT-2 based cam, forged crank, and upgraded valvetrain to accommodate the cam. GM performance crate motor putting out 535 HP/543 TQ what's not to like?
On the surface it seems like the swap...
I agree with @MrTris above.
visit some OEM GM parts websites, use your VIN to determine the exact GM OEM part # for the headlights on your vehicle now. Then I would head over to eBay and search for some GM OEM headlights that are used but in good condition and working.
Now would also be a...
Had one of my LED DRL bulbs start to flicker in my ‘13 Escalade ESV.
Used this method to get to the one on the drivers side and have done this before.
That bottom bolt of the washer tank is a bit$h. Just hard to reach and get a good angle to loosen/tighten.
Spent all of 1.5 hrs and I bet...
I’ve had this cabin filter kit on my garage for over a year now…. Really need to get in installed. My interior gets dusty so much quicker than my wife’s K2XX Escalade.
24” rims are easy to swap aftermarket.
The additional speakers and massaging seats not so much.
Do the ‘25-‘26 Ultimates still have the Vader chrome grill and trim?
Getting ready to install the OEM RST window trim and new appliqués on the wife’s ‘19 Escalade ESV.
Just want to report that the OEM RST Black window trim pieces appear to be the same as I installed on my old ‘15 Yukon XL Denali 4+ years ago.
Some trim pieces may have a chrome plastic...
If you look closely it appears that maybe the spring broke…. It looks like it broke on the bottom coil. You can see what looks like a coil there on the bottom:
Then overtime the larger diameter coil just worked itself down over the perch.
I’m guessing that also the drivers side front is...
